Have you ever traded a game with someone before? What happens if the game license is revoked from your Steam account? Do you get a notification from Steam that the game was removed - or does it just disappear? Does your Steam account get a 'warning' or something for having a charge-back related game removed?

Yes, you'll get unskippable notification about specific game revoked from your account

I only bought that one that I posted about the other day - but I have done a good number of trades on barter that maybe were purchased from G2A....

Barter.vg rarely has keys from G2A, since people there usually trade keys straight from the bundles, where it cost half or less than as much as the keys on G2A, so reselling them would be problematic to impossible.

I hope what you said is true - I conducted trades that netted me 14 titles over barter.vg over the last week

Inbefore every cardaddict comes crying about the "2h" rumor CD that ofc doesn't exists.
I've had 5 games revoked I think, 3 betas because devs that know how to make it properly & 2 through SG but it's all solved :)
I did not have a traded gift revoked though, just keys,

You get a notification, you can't miss it, don't worry.

For the second question, if it's a key or a steamgift, I think you won't get a warning or something like that.
But if the problem is caused by one of your cards, IIRC your account could get a temporary block.

oh ok, the 1 game i bought on G2A and the 1 game i bought on kinguin both were sent via steamgift - I was thinking - what if the two games were part of a charge back and steam decided to ban my account - that would be a crap ton of money of legit purchases down the drain for nothing!

I never heard about people getting banned when that happened (assuming you didnt pay on steam with a credit card, and that card charged back). My few experiences were with games the devs revoked just because (not because they were obtained ilegally or anything weird) and nothing happened, just the game disapeared from my library and i got a message. The only complain ive heard a couple times was that after a revoke people had that wait period when trading stuff for a while, but im not sure if it is real or if it still happens. Maybe if you do lots of trades/card sales you should find some info on that.

you mean those?
I get them very regularly (*not due any fraudulent purchased keys though).

So, don't worry.

and what if you get them from a key that was obtained through a fraudulent purchase? I bought 1 game off G2A and 1 game off Kinguin.

It's the same message. License will be revoked (your game is gone), and that's it.
I doubt anything happens until this occurs very regularly due such purchases.

If you are worried that you will be flagged, Valve doesn't care about these things if the license was from adding a key code to your account.

I've had a few games revoked before usually betas and a few mishaps with giveaways. However, one time very long ago I traded for a game which got revoked and I did not receive the message on steam. I contacted the trader and they gave me a new key for it...

If it's in your library, you get a notification. If it's in your inventory, you don't get any notifications.
