Is it plugged in?

If monitor cant turn on, check its power source cable 1st.
If you are referring to lack of picture on screen, then check HDMI cable, also check if your graphic card is producing image at all by using different cable type to connect it.

Also try:
1) a different video port (your PC probably has more than 1)
2) a different cable
3) a different connection alltogether (VGA)
4) try the monitor on a different source

Are you by chance using an HDTV as monitor?

im using aoc g2460pqu

totally did not work, just to make sure. theres in total 2 cable requiered for it to work, right?
