Thank you! Ideally I'd want 100% completion one day but that's just a fool's dream, even though I've been trying to check if games have notorious broken achievements before getting them. Currently there are at least two I already own that are close to impossible to fully complete without either putting countless hours into or using a file exploit (or SAM, of course). Buuuut I'm just gonna ignore thinking about those until I have no choice but to face the music and get to as close to perfection as I can with everything else.
Good luck with reaching 69% completion on your end. I was long "stuck" on 69 perfect games, deliberately avoiding any games that would give an easy completion because I'm definitely mature like that. ;P

Exactly. I could understand some smaller games having broken achievements but when it's an AAA title that has something broken then it's just gonna be annoying to even think about. Would think those would get fixed since there is a large number of people who are very serious about achievement hunting and doing it as a genuine hobby.
Yeah, I've noticed that P'n'C's and HOGs seem to be games that would be relatively easy to 100% and buff numbers, so it's too bad I'm very rarely interested in those genres. My easiest ones are basically just Telltale games, where you automatically get 100% if you just playthrough it. :D Too bad I don't have many of those left unplayed but they sure contributed to my stats significantly.

Oh right, that's a good point. I was just thinking how I'd expect bigger companies to have more resources to fix their games but wasn't considering anything else related to it. And yeah, if that game works otherwise than during the credits then it's at least the worst case scenario avoided. I'd still be really annoyed by it no matter what, hah.
I've watched someone play a few PnCs but never got any inspiration to try them out myself. Only seen a little bit from Deponia but heard nothing but praise, so that might be something I'd try one day in the far future. For now I'll just be directing my efforts to games that aren't as kind to my 100% goals, gotta be a little bit of a "masochist" I suppose. :P

Completely agree about removing broken achievements. People are pretty quick and vocal to report those, so there's no way the companies/devs wouldn't know about the issues. If it's too much of a hassle to fix or fixing would cause troubles elsewhere, then the least they could do would be to just remove the broken one and everyone would be satisfied.
I've only encountered a couple games where the overlay wasn't working, but that was enough and I really dislike it. Only noticed how much I rely on the overlay when it wasn't there, Steam has pampered me too much with it... :P
It's sometimes so infuriating when a game should be working perfectly but it just isn't, your specs can be well above the optimal and still the game refuses to run. At least the beauty in PC gaming is that quite often there is some way to fix a non-working or crashing game, be it tweaking a file or simply changing the display size.
I'm similar with the genres I dislike, and even with having a couple games from those hated genres I still remain adamant that I don't like the genre itself. I guess it's the exceptions that enforce the rule indeed.
You are now the second person these past couple weeks who has alluded to the unfairness of Yakuza 0. Makes me truly dread what I'm getting in for, specially since earlier this month I installed it and have it set as my next game to play after I've beaten the ones I'm currently playing. Caaaaan't wait. :D

Overall I've been pretty lucky with Steam games, haven't had a single one (yet) that would've been completely unlaunchable/unplayable. Most of my issues have been about games crashing, but that still allowed me to play through them even if it was highly annoying to keep restarting. I've only had one game so far where I had to completely stop playing because of a broken game mechanic made it impossible to beat a boss, and nobody had found a workaround so everyone with the issue just had to wait for the devs to fix it.
Uuuugh... The approximate time itself wouldn't be daunting if it didn't involve just hoping to be lucky with something. With my luck it'll probably end up being closer to 500h before completion. Well, I'll see what happens, gonna play it as much as I can during next month and then give it a break for a while - unless I'd somehow be very close to completion but I already doubt my luck enough as it is. :D

For whatever reason I was never got into going for achievements. Like if it's a game I really like and it has a reasonable number then I will, but other than that it's just not for me.

Great job! I achievement hunt to some degree, but I don't have the patience to chase them all. I do make a reasonable attempt though, but then see how many games I've got and how much time and dedication it would take to get certain single achievements and move on ;-)

Congratulations on 100 Perfect Games! :)
I've got to get 12 more to catch up to you! ;)

Thank you! I'm sure you'll be able to catch up and even surpass me before I get more progress on my completions, haha. :D

Congrats! I'm on 95 perfect games myself, but I've started to stop 100%ing my games and instead going for "as good of a percentage as possible", eg going for a third playthrough just to get one achievement is too much for me, especially with my big backlog. Or just ruining the experience of some games just because I'm following a guide. Hope I'll get 100 soon though as some games have easy 100% ;)

My profile is now finally graced by the magical '100 perfect games' marker! Hitting that triple digit gives me hope that one day I can perfect all my games, like I'd really want to. It's not all that impressive when thinking about how long I've been on Steam but I decided to still mark the occasion. Sadly my coinpurse isn't nearly heavy enough to go all out with 100 giveaways so I had to drop a zero and have a much shorter train.
