Not entirely. The Room is good because it's a mess, and Deadly Premonition is in spite of it. Though DP has its times to be a happy little mess. lol

Gotta agree. Though it's a terribly-ported mess, I love it so much that I went out of my way to make it playable on my PC. I've also endured several crashes. It's definitely one of my top ten most beloved games.

Harvester - 63
Kane & Lynch: Dead Men - 67 and 5.8 user score

+1 for Saw. I quite enjoyed that when I played it on 360 a handful of years ago. Didn't even finish the demo for Saw 2 though. :(
Blades of Time has a 63 metascore on pc and its my favorite... spectacle fighter? brawler? Not sure the term for that genre, but I usually don't like that genre and i loved Blades of Time.
Arcania: Gothic 4 is another game with a 63 metascore that I quite enjoyed. It has problems, sure, but I enjoyed it after forcing AA and tweaking the fov. (I never played the older gothic games so I wasn't invested in the series. Gothic fans seem to dislike it for some reason.)
Mars: War Logs has a 59 metascore for some reason. (72 user score, which I think is more appropriate.) After tweaking the fov I quite enjoyed the game.
All of these I listed have mediocre endings, but their gameplay and overall stories are enjoyable.

wasn't the easiest thing to control and the speed felt weird, but I had some fun with post apocalyptic mayhem despite it having a metascore of 44

February in GMG.
Reddit post about it
I agree with the above, it was a great game I really enjoyed.

Love that game. Good for an hour or so of fun at least. Really fun to play!

I agree, regardless that it crashes constantly while I play on my system.

Fuck yeah! I play Postal 2 whenever I want a bit of violent, dumb fun.

Wow.. I didn't even know that game has a low meta score.. That is why I never look at meta scores.
The devs have a weekly video chat on Twitch and answer questions. Only for that I would give them 80.

Hm, for me it would probably be Realms of Arkania: Blade of Destiny with a score of 18 I think. I joined the party later but it seemed to have a horrible start and could not completely recover from that. There are still bugs and the graphic has some problems. But the game is functional and the mechanics are implemented correctly to the DSA rule set and for me it has been very fun to play.
Problem is that people still behave like di. Complaining about past bugs and spending a lot of time finding even the smallest unimportant bug in the game, going to forum bitching around and telling people how awful everything is. And a lot of them are just graphic who. Oh my god those battle avatars are making my eyes bleeding etc...
Hm, that sounded a lot like ranting about people.
TL;DR: Realms of Arkania: Blade of Destiny, low score still fun for me

Devs corrected lots of things about the game, but metascore stayed. At some random topic I've seen current meta would be at least 40-ish, that's not much, but still quite an improvement.Still waiting to try out that game, I don't have much expectations - if it works and enjoyable, already bought the purchase (got for like 1$ from groupees a few months ago)

I don't pay attention to Meta Score (different strokes for different folks, after all), but I played Dark Fall: Lost Souls and absolutely loved it, despite the game having rather poor reviews.
It's a very decent horror point&click adventure that doesn't rely on lame jumpscares, the story is also decent (if a bit confusing in the end). I truly, honestly don't understand the bad reviews.

Only If (39 metascore). A really interesting game.

Fun for a little while but is way to glitchy for me to want to play it for too long!

To be fair, it's not even Orion: dino horde anymore. They have gone through so many changes since release I find it hard to even consider it the same game. It's old metascore is related to the shit product that was the original release of Dino Beatdown, before even Dino Horde fixes.
In it's current state it's probably a good 75 or so.

+1, one of the most underrated games.
It has a 72 MC now but when it first came out it was about 50-60.

I really enjoyed "remember me". It has a meta score of 65 but its definitely worth playing!

Also The Last Remnant (66 MC) is the best JRPG I've ever played, a lot better than every Final Fantasy if you ask me.It's weird that it got such a low score,I guess those reviewers don't really know how to play JRPG's ...

Not really, you can play and win TLR by just slamming your head against the keyboard. The game is pathetically easy and automatically picks the best option when fighting and other more complex mechanics are either useless or not properly explained.
Also, lame protagonist and a story way less interesting than some other Square Enix games.

the Carpenter like vibe alone, would be more than enough to make it standout. just don't trust metascore

Them games are rated that badly?! Those games are amazing. This is why when going to buy a game i never look at metacritic for guidance.

They're fun with friends. Solo play gets boring fast though.

Extremely linear gameplay, some flawed puzzles and an interesting premise ruined by awkward controls and no freedom with murders whatsoever, some of which don't make any sense at all for complexity of execution. That said, 59 is a pretty ok score for that game.

Cortex Command is a lot of fun, the game is very well done, and the content is awesome with the mods.

Even though it's incomplete, I enjoyed Cortex Command, despite its abysmal Metacritic score of 44. But there must be other low-metascore games out there people have enjoyed!
