Why aren't I recognized as a contributor?

I've created a giveaway, given the winner the game and they have received it but im not a contributor because when i tried to enter a contributor only giveaway it wouldnt let me? I dont understand check my profile it says I have!

There's no gold star or visible change. All this means is that you can now enter giveaways with contribution requirements of $20 or lower. Look at those types of giveaways and see if you can now enter.

Actually if there was a $20 giveaway he wouldn't be eligible to join it as he is $0.01 short of $20.

yes, thats what I thought, then when i tried to enter a contributor only giveaway it wouldnt let me.
