how do you play your character
You pretty much are doing it tho?
Like isn't it pretty classist to criticise someone over their English skills not to mention when you come off as reaaaally condesdencing.

Interresting poll :)
But I cant see the difference between:
"I put myself in the shoes of the lead character and act accordingly"
and
"I act how I think that character would react in that situation "

The difference is that the first option means you do what you would do, and the second option is that you do what the character would do. So for example if you're a serial killer, you might choose evil actions in the game. And in the second case, If the character you're controlling is a nun, you might not choose evil actions in the game even if you're a serial killer.
English is clearly not his first language.

well 1st me as a person real me. if i am aggressive i act aggressive in game. even if game lets say same small child who is not going not be aggressive.
2nd i am aggressive but character is small child mentality ( i don`t thing he/she act alike that in that situation)
i hope you catch my drift now :)

I suspect that "I put myself in the shoes of the lead character and act accordingly" means if you were in the situation how would you yourself act. i.e. would you be scared/mad/sad
and
"I act how I think that character would react in that situation " means trying to make the decision based on how you think the character, as written, would act. i.e. would Lee/Ryse/Fiona be scared/mad/sad
At least that's my interpretation.

I'm playing The Wolf Among Us right now, and it's my first TT game. Choosing the answers I'd choose for the first playthrough, then I'll do arsehole and good guy playthroughs to try for all the achievements.

I try to stay true to my understanding of the character on the first run. Typically a game with a lot of decisions like that will prompt me to replay and see how different the experience can be with different decisions.

It depends, most of the time I try to soehorn everyone into a happy ending, because I'm kinda afraid of losing someone and not get to experience some part of the story they might be involved in later.
I've started to worry less and less about that tho and try to just play as I think the chars would.

i was wandering how do you play, not just telltale game but any game whit some sort of decisions to story or characters, dialog based or action based. for example i put my self in shoes of the character and acting in situations how i would in real life(or as close as possible,
