I don't know of many FTP single-player games with DLC.

I dont really own/buy much dlc, there's a lot of it that really seems worth it. But I did get the Dungeons of Dredmor dlc recently, and they are totally worth it, they add a ton of new content to the game. I loved Old World Blues for NV too, it was great.
Terraria is pretty cool for not doing dlc at all, just free updates with loads of content. The dev is doing a new one too, in case you hadn't heard.
Some of Civ V's dlc is a mixed bag. New civilizations, awesome; new wonders, meh; new maps? Useless.
Dungeon Defenders went pretty dlc crazy.

Good to know. I'll have to pick up the Dredmor DLC. I've played a couple of the CIV5 DLCs. Some of the new civs were good, but the Koreans were waaay over powered. I recently picked up Gods and Kings, but I have yet to play it (been playing Warlock too much), but I hear it's really good.

You just missed Dredmor's dlc 50% off for the Linux sale, which is when I got it. The next time its on sale buy buy buy immediately. Plus if its 75% next time the two of them only total $1.49, which is a steal. (Don't forget that the 2nd dlc is free, if you dont have it already!)
I actually dont have Korea, since strangely that is the only civ that doesnt come with the GOTY edition, since I bought the 2K strat pack from amazon. And G&K adds a lot that was missing from the Civ V vanilla, give it a try soon.

i would say the dlc campaigns on both borderlands were neat, although i didnt enjoy moxxi's underdome because the arena was so darned hard
killing floor community weapon pack was okay, solely for the fact that flare pistol/buzzsaw bow is lovely
FNV dlc campaigns were okay, just really long for me
dont like most the killing floor outfits, to be honest

Tribunal and Bloodmoon for Morrinwind were great :) the smaller DLC's were good, and better yet free (almost unheared of now). Haven't finished Shivering isles so i cant say for certain, though i hear its really good. The other DLC for oblivion were average, not worth the price at the time; but fine for a 'game of the year edition'. Dawnguard for Skyrim was good, am yet to play Dragonborn but i hear its one of the better expansions for a TES game yet.

Tribunal and Bloodmoon are not DLC's, they are expansions.

Secret armory of general knoxx and most fallout 3 DLC

I just recently played through Dragon Age: Origins, and for the 1st time the expansion Awakenings as well. I was underwhelmed with the expansion, i guess because the main game is really good. It it was longer, had more areas and better character development, i'd have liked it better.

snooki´s hair for your xbox avatar was better
(but seriously, there has been worst scams than the horse armor one, that one is very mild compared to others)

BF3 DLC, Dungeons Dredmor DLC, Dungeon Defender's dlc s are my favourite, and im planning on buying BL2 season pass.

Best DLCs to date would be the Borderlands ones, all ot them (with the exception of Mad Moxxi's Underdome)and the Fallout Vegas Old World Blues and Lonesome Road. Shivering Isles from Oblivion and Bloodmoon from Morrowind (not technically DLC, but if Shivering is one, it could be considered too)
Not too bad are the Fallout 3 and the other 2 New Vegas DLCs. The Orcs Must Die DLCs add lot of fun. Community Weapons pack for KF is overpriced but adds some fun stuff. All Defence Grid DLCs are good and worth their prices. Dungeons of Dredmor DLCs add a bit of stuff but might change a bit too much the whole game. The Gratuitous Space Battles rece DLCs add a lot of game longevity added to the Conquest one.
A number of Dungeon Defenders DLCs are not worth their prices (fun, just not as much as you should pay for). i'll follow you with the horse armor, just because you started it (also because it had the problem of killing definitively Shadowmere and still adds a quest item that was left during developpement).

Best DLC were pretty much everything that was released for Civ 4. Although we used to call them "expansions", because, you know, they used to expand the game universe.
Worst DLC? Paying for game maps in Civ 5 (where, actually, you have a random map generator and a map editor and steam workshop).
Aside from Civ, i found Borderlands 2 DLC to be quite interesting, adding a few hours of gameplay each. On the other side i didn't really like Deus Ex extra weapons, they added nothing to the game (you had only few ammo until late in the game so getting them soon was just an encumbrance).

1) Best DLC - Battlefield 3 Premium service, I dont know if the "service" can be consider a DLC but it is great, it adds great maps, weapons, game modes and assignments, each new dlc gives a totally new life to the gameplay.
2) Acceptable DLC - Batman Arkham City, Harley Quinn's Revenge, Well it brings a extra to the game after it ends and you can roaming in the city with Robin. But the problem is its lenght, it is too short. When you starts to like the gameplay, it ends.
3)Bad DLC - Assassins Creed 3 The Tyranny of King Washington. It is really bad, the plot is no sense, there is no more need for you to go hunting, no more naval battles, the new wolf powers are too OP, it is short, and the worse: it is divided in multiple dlcs.

DAO DLC's were pretty horrible all around. Even the ones that added quests were pretty much just loot. Not worth the time or the money.
Baldur's Gate Throne of Bhaal. Back when it was called Expansion packs and not DLC and good ones like this were pretty much a whole extra game.

What DLC has been a waste of your time & cash, and what DLC has been totally worth it?
Discussion Rules:
(1. Please share both which DLC you liked and/or disliked. All systems are fair game. Well no, SNES didn't have dlc.
(2. Only speak from experience. Dont talk about DLC that you haven't played. (Aka, no horse armor complaints unless you really sported the bling)
(3. No multiplayer map packs (the value of those is completely tied to how much you like onlne play)
(3. Specific DLCs only. This is NOT a thread to discuss if you like the concept of DLC.
Please share with the community. Here's my list:
(1. Best DLCs ever: (a.k.a. better than the base game):
Oblivion: Shivering Isles
Fable 3: Traitor's Keep
Fable Two: Knothole Island
Peggle Nights (DLC on XBOX, standalone expansion on steam)
Civ IV: Beyond the Sword (Warlords wasn't bad either)
(2. Acceptable... but maybe wait for a sale or GOTY:
Dragon Age DLCs: Warden's Keep, Return to Ostagar, & Leliana's Song.
Assasin's Creed II: Forlì & Vanities and AC:Brotherhood: Da Vinci Disappearance - (All well done, but very short. Only buy on super sale)
Warlock DLCs (Some may not agree, but I can't get enough of that game)
Orcs Must Die 2 DLC Pack (Also very short add-ons, but new traps/enemies and worth a sale price)
Fallout 3- The Pit (adds some good post-game play time by raising the level cap and striping away your overpowered weapons)
Fallout NV - Old World blues (quirky and fun, but grinds via fetch quests)
Borderlands 1: Claptrap & Underdome (Not bad, but a little too much deja vu and grinding)
Iron Grip Warlord: Scorched Earth (Only adds a few bells and whistles, but makes the game actually playable by balancing AI)
(3. Bad and/or Waste of cash:
Dungeon Defenders Eternia Crystals (adds spiders, yick!)
Fable 3: Understone (short & bla)
Fable 2: See the future (see above)
Just Cause 2 items/vehicles (in game items are better)
Yes, Oblivion: Horse armor... I just had to have the bling
I have another dozen-ish DLCs that I've picked up without playing, but above is my current DLC past. What's yours?
