They were speaking Russian in the beginning of the video, right? If so, no surprise at all. Russians only seem to show up in videos where crazy dangerous shit happens.

I already dislike heights, so I just gripped my chair.

Same, didn't even notice at first but after the video my mouse was all wet cause I could not let go. Also I wish I could do that cause the scenery from these heights is just breath taking but i have a fear of heights, its not that big so I could probably do it but I would need a parachute cause there is no way I could go down the way I came.

The top comment on that video though, I thought YouTube was blocked in China?

How did that video get 36,885,123 views when there are only 7,000,000 people on Earth?

/facepalm.
No. It's not someones job to go walk out on to the boom of the crane, every single day. The cabin, yes, but not the boom. You see that small red cabin at the 2 minutes & 30 seconds? That's where the crane operator would sit. Anyone working up at that height would have to wear full PPE, safety harnesses & maybe even a fall arrest system, not just a damn hoodie & backpack.

"PPE"? Whasdat? Also, what's the difference between a safety harness and a fall arrest system?

Personal Protective Equipment. So anything that is worn to reduce the risk of injury. Hardhat, gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, ect. From what I can remember a safety harness is the actual harness you wear while the arrest system is the line that attaches from the harness to a secured guardrail or something similar. I could be wrong though.

Yes... but... few years ago I use to work with equipment for high antennas towers and in theory everybody must use safety harnesses... but almost no one do it when climbing, only when stop for break or do some work. It cnsumet a lot of time and after some time climbing start to be just boring routine and people skip it. Ofcource this is not right, but if you think, it' less dangerous then go to work with bike or cross the streat. Or in the same level to use normal leader to paint big wall. There is no big defference if you fall from 5 or 500 meters and only defference is in your head, but expirience make it gone. Also when height is become too big it's starts to be less scary, becouse brain accept it in defferent way. For my expiriance for me is VERY VERY hard to jumb with bungee from 60-80 meter, but not big deal with parashoot from 800+ meters.

Although this video has been out for a little while now, it still amazes me.
