Hello! A week ago, SEGA posted an announcement about 33% coupon for Yakuza Kiwami 2 on their twitter. It said that anyone who owns Yakuza 0 gets a 33% discount on Kiwami 2, but many have not yet received any coupon for the game. So I was wondering if anyone on steamgifts had the same issue.

Edit 27.12.: Got it now, guess everyone did too, so the issue's solved. Too bad we can't use it while the game is on sale

Nope, no coupon and judging from the replies to the tweet the majority didn't get one.

How exactly do you know that?

Well generally a person would get a coupon when a game releases through owning another game related to it, otherwise a person can also get coupons through crafting badges, however during specific events where a person gets an event card instead of a coupon, as is the current case.

So the coupons should have already been given out based on what I understand, otherwise, there might have been restrictions, like the game needs to have been bought on Steam itself or activated before a certain date.

That's true, but these coupons are not tied to any event, are they? They are just ownership coupons, so why would people not get them?

Or it could be region-specific, though I've never heard of a region-specific coupon.

Okay, I guess that could explain this, but it's still unfortunate that we don't have a clear answer as to why they would do it this way.

Got it too but can't use it since discounts aren't stackable and you can't remove the default sales discount :/

They were stackable a couple years ago, I bought H1Z1 for 1.80€ by using a coupon on a sale price

It's not related to time but the game. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

What is the meaning of this? Have time to buy a game in 3 days from January 2 (when the sale is over) to January 5, until the coupon expires? Then why put a lower discount on the sale, I'm confused
