I have never ever been able to grasp the appeal behind gothic fashions. It's utterly incomprehensible to me.

It's funny though. Most Goths dress like that to stand out and be unique but they aren't unique they are dressing like all the other Goths. So in fact that are just following a different style and not being unique at all.
