Hey I saw someone working on 15000-16000 and it's ones I just hinted it's not but I don't have access to the sheet to change the colour yet

So I just did the "maths" and if we find the correct answer after 30000 guesses, we have wasted 900000 seconds (=15000 minutes or 250 hours) of our life :(

That is somewhat faulty, because that implies that everyone has to wait 30secs to enter the next one, not accounting for several people trying to enter numbers at the same time etc. so technically the 100% guaranteed waste of time will only be 150,000 (16% of your original assumption) if you take 5 secs as average "entering number then clicking submit" time.
Then of course there'll be people who sit here, entering numbers and wait 30 secs, but most will probably do this while watching a movie or something so technically it's not 30 secs of pure wasted time.

I was just assuming that everyone waits 30 seconds and then enters the next number and so on. But of course, if you watch a movie while entering the numbers it's not exactly wasted time. Also I wanted to make it sound more dramatic because 250 hours is just so much bigger than ~42 hours :D

I see automation brute force as cheating only if the answer is supposed to be figured out logically.
Right now the only difference between the 2 is a person sitting behind a computer typing in numbers one by one every 30 seconds or a computer doing it. I don't find the prior very productive.
edit: eh, it's subjective, so I'll let the puzzle maker decide I suppose. I will not run any scripts or offer the source unless iflirtwithanyone states that it is ok to use script to check the numbers on ITH.

Yeah but google sheets acts funky sometimes. It's cloud based instead of a file on your normal computer.

I've tried to get all the rows containing 2, but might have missed some. Started on rows containing 0, but no time to do them all right now.
Probably easier to apply a formula to the sheet, but didn't want to make a mess so I did it manually.

Apparently 1366x768 is still a thing, so changes were made to make the sheet more legible.
I've started hiding rows (me & me alone, to make sure it's right)
to make it easier for people to see numbers that haven't been tried.

Hey everyone, I've decided to be a complete asshole with a puzzle. Why? Because multiple people remember my brute force puzzles and described them as "painful"
Well. I'm here to put you through hell. To make you want to die by the end of it. It's brute force. And by god, you will hate me before it's over.
So, I've made it a little bit easier, though still impossible.
Firstly, it is a group puzzle. One person finishes it, you all finish it.
Secondly, as the days go on, if no one has finished it yet, I will narrow the numbers down a bit. Some days I may just exclude a little, some I may exclude a lot of numbers. The point is, don't rely on the hints.
Third, the giveaways attached to it will be open for 1 month.
Now, for the fun part.There are 5 games up for grabs, all from the community wishlist, and all ones that are trending upwards. I won't say which games though.

So, it's been pointed out that I should give some sort of idea of the page on the wishlist or something for the games. I'll tell you that all of them had at least 2 upwards trending arrows at the time this was made, none have been bundled before
2 are in the top 100, and some have started trending downward since then but nothing I can do about that. 3 have had less than 100 giveaways made for it
