Noone's gonna take our hope away ;) But tbh - QUBE is too fresh, LIMBO is out of the question imo, Terraria... well, I'd say that it's possible.

I'm kinda hoping for Bastion. I bought it at Impulse, but I'd rather have the Steam copy

I think Terraria is doing too well by itself to get included, except possibly as a beat-the-average entry.

Super Meat Boy did extremely well and still went on a humble bundle.
Terraria will probably be in a bundle when their sales slow down. Aka: Everyone willing to buy it, bought it.

Is that what happened with Super Meat Boy? That would make sense.

Indie game made by Indie Dev

Indie Dev is dev don't have money support from big publisher even if they have big publisher

-> Bastion = Indie Game

It doesn't matter. They don't have control over their game. Warner Bros does. So in order for it to be involved in something like this, Indie Gala, Indie Royale, or Humble Bundle, had to convince Warner Bros to do it, which is a HELL of a lot of a bigger task that just approaching a random Indie Dev. Same deal with the mentioned Rock of Ages, which is published by Atlus.

And still, Humble Bundle got Shank from EA.

Comment has been collapsed.

Yes, it's the ONE game from the what, 50 games that have been involved in the three bundle types? Every single other title has been self published. It also has a sequel coming out shortly. I wonder why EA let it be included? Hmmmmm

No they have control over their game. Warner Bros is just there for XBLA publishing. You can't release on XBox without a publisher. They are indie.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Oh, THAT would explain why there are big-name publishers on there.

Dang Microsoft.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

This is incorrect. It's published by Warner Bros on consoles and PC. They didn't have to go that route. Take a look at Super Meat Boy and Braid, two other big XBLA titles. They are self published on PC.

And if you want to guess games, start thinking a bit more globally. Indiegala, and every single one of its' games, are all European companies/developers. Wouldn't be a big stretch for some of the games this coming time to be the same.

Also, this @indiegala sale will not be based on time but will last until the exhaustion of the (limited) number of bundles available.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Hmm, I think it's not a smart choice of them - at least not with the "pay what you want" method. People will buy more than 9000 bundles for cents to trade it/sell it later and those who are actually interested in it will maybe miss the chance.
