I had already heard of the Young Ones but I didn't know the guys from Bottom were in it. Looks like something I might enjoy

I'm actually waiting for the full season of Last man to be released before I watch it.
The League & Psych sounds good, not sure I'd like the others two that much

Malcolm is good too if you like Freaks and Geeks and Inbetweeners.
For animated I recommend Rick and Morty

Alright I'll check Malcom out. It's just that the main character looks so fucking annoying :D

You can do no wrong with Rick and Morty, honestly I've not heard of someone not liking the show.... besides religous zealots.

Watched most of the shows in your list and i enjoyed this one too. It s kind of like 30 Rock, Better off Ted, IT Crowd... same kind of humor.
Oh, and maybe The Mighty Boosh, it s a bit obscure but i ve never seen one like that again. It s with the guy from the IT Crowd, the closet goth.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yeah I know about Mighty Boosh but haven't seen it yet.
Btw I didn't found 30 Rock that much fun in the beginning, but I thougt it got better after a few seasons (when it started being more meta, around season 4 I think). And I really loved the ending scene ^^

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Haha. Yeah, I know what you mean. Was watching 30 Rock out of boredom until I actually started enjoying it.
Mighty Boosh is really good but you sort of have to be in the right mindset to watch it. Plus the guy made sort of a follow up show called Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy, but that one is a bit too weird for me.

Archer seems fun but I often have a hard times getting into animation series.
I watched the first couple episodes of 2 1/2 but I wasn't hooked. Does it need more time to get started ?

Nope, I watched everything but the last season, I couldn't take anymore of it. In the end, I was really hating Barney & Robin, Ted was annoying. Lily & Marshall were still ok.

Well, have you watched the last season of Arrested Development( The Netflix one)? That was truly awful, in comparison HIMYM S8 was good.

Yes, it was kinda confusing, but I thought it got funnier in the last third. But yeah, not even close from the rest of the show.

Yeah I've heard it's good. What kind of humour is it ? Similar to any show of my list ?

Permalink

The humor is kind of crass (lots of swearing.) Danny McBride plays a washed up MLB player and he's hilarious in it. I might liken it to Always Sunny, but that seems like kind of a stretch.

Malcolm In The Middle, Roseanne, King Of The Hill. I love all 3 of these shows. Some people may hate on Roseanne, but I grew up watching it and it was and still is a great show, except for the last couple seasons.

Then, you probably were not born yet or old enough to watch tv in the early 90's. It was the most popular show on tv for a few years.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Born in 1992. But I'm not from the USA, maybe it's not popular in Europe ?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

The show started in 1988. Not sure if it was shown in Europe, but even if it was you would have been born during the 5th season and the show was past it's prime and ending by the time you would of started watching tv.

I may watch man seeling woman because Jay Baruchel ^^

I used to wait for full seasons as well but right now I have my show evenings with walking dead on monday and man seeking woman/workaholics on thursday after it aired.
The Last Man On Earth is waaaaaaay to good to wait.
Man Seeking Woman is just crazy and although it's about romance and all the stuff I don't care about you can actually relate to it in a way! Just it's exaggerated as f*ck.
Workaholics needed time to grow on me and it's not the funniest all the time but it's sure enjoyable to watch.

I would say comedy / drama.
I agree with the last 2 season being kinda like a joke of the previous seasons.

It's comedy/drama, but there's more & more emphasis on the drama as the show progress, if I remember correctly
