DOTA 2 Trading Cards

So everyone knows that you can't get DOTA 2 trading cards unless you buy something. But how much do you have to buy to get the trading cards? I've heard that you have to buy $9 of items and I've heard that you just have to get premium by buying the cheapest thing. Anyone know for sure how much you have to buy?

This is what is said in FAQ

What about free to play games like Team Fortress 2 or Dota 2?
Free to play games drop game cards based on your in-game purchasing history. If you've made purchases in-game prior to the Steam Trading Card Beta, or if you purchased TF2 prior to the Free to Play Update, you'll have 4 or 5 drops available for these games. You'll receive more card drops when you buy items in game, approximately one card drop for every $9 USD spent.

You needed to be premium before the beta stated AFAIK (as it is with TF2). Maybe they change when released proper, maybe not.

Don't know firsthand. According to other people, buying something right now won't make the cards start dropping, and that you need previously to have bought something in the dota store before this trading card beta started.

I bought some dota 2 treasure keys long time ago. Spent around S10, i got 4 cards, won't drop any more as written on the trading card page, so it's S2.50 spent for 1 dota 2 trade card i think.
