I see your point, but I enjoyed the atmosphere of the town. I can't really explain my reason I just liked having to run through narrow back alleys to escape from hundreds of zombies. If there was a reason not to like it, it would be how easy the game is. I would struggle quite a bit on psychopaths on the older ones, whereas this one is FAR too easy, especially at level 50. Indestructible vehicles is just ridiculous!

I've finished Dead Rising 2 which I consider one of the best games I've played in the Xbox 360 alongside Shadows of the Damned, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron, Catherine and Deadly Premonition.
However, I was expecting a lot more of Dead Rising 3. The fact that the story doesn't take place in a mall anymore removes a great part of the fun I had with the previous titles. It doesn't matter if you can have hundreds of zombies on screen (even though it's a great technical achievement) when you can just run away from them. Dead Rising in an open world isn't fun imo. Maybe the formula is getting old but I think that a Dead Rising game taking place in a college, a football pitch or another crowded place would be way more entertaining than Dead Rising 3.
Does anybody else feel this way?
