As of a few minutes ago,the TremorGames website is officially unaccesible.

It goes without saying that a lot of people here-including myself-have used that website to grow their library or to give them away on SG.Sometimes substantially.I myself have redeemed Middle-Earth:Shadows of Mordor,Napoleon:Total War,Arkham Asylum/City and a bunch of other games over there before the site glitched out on me and I wasn't able to log in anymore (a common enough bug over there,I'm afraid).

Rest in Peace,TG.You weren't perfect but we'll sure as hell miss you.

1.6M coins used, shame it already started slowly dying much earlier when the bots got banned and it got harder and harder to earn more.

Wrong guess, but almost. Mostly involved getting cheap trash games, farming for cards, selling cards and buying whatever CS:GO/DOTA2/TF2 crap that gave best value on coins and trading in. Also trading other stuff for profit and using profit to get cheap trash games for farming cards to level up myself or even just for giving away here. So no black markets were used to harmfully sell games, didn't even trade them that much for other games. :)

Tasks always paid out, though, which was definitely nice.

The site actually died several years ago, when their Humblebundle accounts were blocked
and other sites have introduced purchase limitations (like Bundlestars/Fanatical and untradable steamgifts etc)
They no longer had access to good games and they did not bother to counter that somehow
they then only bought what was really cheap and was still available as a bulk purchase and we all know the indiegala garbage which nobody really needs....the TF2 items area was very important ....but was never updated, new items were never added and for the old ones the trade-in price lowered further and further until he was massively below the value of the items
The fact that they did not introduce a purchase limit hurt everything even more ....The few good games that were in the crap bundles were all always bought by a handful of users .... so for the normal user, there was no reason to use the site if you had no interest in giftcards or similar..............that the bots didnt work anymore was bad, but it all started much earlier

The problem was always that tremor operated by people, which had no idea about the "games" and "trading area"

I've earned about 3 million coins ....but I stopped using the Site about 3 years ago
because it just was not worth the time and effort anymore and I only did trade in which was the least effort
I dont want to know how someone felt who has used the site on "normal way"

I wasn't looking for Humble games to resell on G2A or anything like that, so it was well and alive for me. I could always just buy them for myself if I wanted. Those couple guys running bots buying everything resellable bothered me very little, mainly for stealing some games with valuable cards they didn't even care about.

And why didn't you spend it? They were sending items in the last few days with no problem

Nobody said i didn't , spend them on lots of games and giftcards like 2 days ago, nothing was approved, and checked every hours.

Odd. I bough a bunch of small games with my remaining points and they were approved much faster than normal.

the same thing as Aquillion - I spend 3k as soon as the closing was announced and it was approved within 3 hours. The only item that was a gift had a problem so I wrote to support and again - I got a message back from them within 2 hours

My orders went through about an hour ago and considering they don't send out emails anymore it's a good thing I was checking it every couple minutes, otherwise I would've missed that they had processed it. It's unfortunate for anyone that didn't get theirs processed though, they really should've warned users ahead of time rather than less than a week to spend their remaining coins. I highly doubt the site wasn't aware of their pending shut-down much earlier and could've given more notice.

They offered a good service and I made good use of them and rarely had any problems. But in the past year or so they had weaker offerings than they used to.

Darn, none of my orders was processed. Even the one I placed before they announced they were going bust were not filled. Saved up for Battle.net gift cards to buy my friend WC3 Remaster for Christmas... oh well. Dumped my last 50k in coins on random interesting looking games, but even those were not handed out :(

I barely used it since I couldn't do any of the tasks. The only ones available were always bugged, so even if I did them, they wouldn't be counted as completed.

Also, seeing that people just lost their coins because their orders weren't processed is sad to see. Remember, just because you didn't pay money directly, doesn't mean these things were free. Tremorgames made money from everything you did and they never compensated them for it. That's as shady as it can be. Shame on them for just leaving people after taking advantage of them.

They took a 50% cut of your earnings, asking 1200 coins for a game out of a $1 humble (yet 99 coins per games from indiegala) and there were a bunch of cheaters they allowed for a long time (because tremorgames made money themselves out of those cheaters) which in return might have left some companies cutting ties with tremorgames.

Big loss for steamgifts.com - many ppl made their giveaways with keys from tremor. We won't see >50k giveaways in this month, and I don't think we will see even 45k in December. Sad times

if it serves to save SG, people can just switch to Neobux. Figure eight accounts can be used in other sites, so it would be more or less the same work, except, money on paypal wallet, rather than getting the games you want. No more pick and choose over the best games in each bundle :(
