You can't store them to inventory or send it by email anymore . . maybe a month*

you can still gift to your friends...doesn´t help for trading though

You can't store gifts in your inventory since a long time. You can hardly even gift games too if the price of the game in the sender's region is a bit different than the price of the game in the recipient's region.

It's just an annoyance to some, for example, when I craft badges I sometimes get -90% cards and the like, which I would use to purchase a game and store in my inventory to gift to someone at a later date. Unfortunately the -% cards have a limited time period attached to them. :(
