This doesn't have the Zombies modes. That's why it's cheaper.
Also splits the MP community in a way.

I don't think players of MP/Blackout necessary are the same as players of Zombies though. I'm sure there's some crossover but at least in the group I'm playing with, no one even wants to give Zombies a try.
This edition makes a lot of sense, though I wish they'd gone even further and had 15 bucks for MP, 15 for Blackout... with options to unlock each separately.

Call of Duty Black Ops IIII: Yes, the Only Mode You Would Actually Play It for Is not Included Edition.
(Also, we still do not know how Roman numerals work.)
Admittedly, it is significantly a better deal than what Blops2 or 3 had, when they released an actual fucking multiplayer demo with like one game mode and the first few levels only, and asked something around 15 bucks for it.

I would play all other modes. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I tried previous incarnations of Calladootizombies and it didn't seem entertaining.
For $30 it features an okay battle royale, a sort of entertaining CSGO knockoff, and regular Calladooty. Certainly a lot better than what Infinite Warfare or Black Ops III had to offer, but on the other hand one has to put up with BattleNet.

Nope. This is only a 25% discount on a stripped-down version of the game.
(I'm pretty sure the basic multiplayer is still in it only because battle royale mode relies on all it's assets & code anyway, but disabling it in the game menus means stripping out a marketable feature.)
The standard version of the game gets only 20% discount, the more expensive more deluxe editions get even less of a discount.
As long as we're not seeing more than 50% discount on a CoD game, there's no reason to believe Activision will change their approach to pricing their cash cow.

Just curious, for those that got the Battle Edition, how much would you have to pay to unlock the zombies mode afterwards?

Wow, was expecting it to be around $20 or so. Guess I'll steer clear of it for now. Cant afford to miss zombies if i do pick it up sometime later
