Two days is 48 hours, not 26.5. In this circumstance, to say that 26.5 hours is two days rather than one is highly inaccurate. That value is nearly double the actual value. While representing the time in hours rather than days is technically also more precise, the only reason increased precision was introduced was to highlight the glaring inaccuracy. If you still want to try and contend that I'm 'incorrect' about all this, I'm afraid I can't continue to indulge you. I don't have time enough to waste trying to convince people the Earth isn't flat.

Hi SG, you've likely noticed our site is currently offline, and has been for the past 5 or 6 hours. Our host decided to null route our IP without notice, claiming suspicious traffic levels affecting other sites in the same network range. Apparently, they do not want to release the IP for 24 hours.
This is an incredibly unprofessional move on their part, and aside from working with them to resolve the issue in a shorter period of time, we'll be looking into other hosts who we can better trust with our reputation in the future.
But generally, no, the site will not be down for 2 days. In my experience, it hasn't even gone down for me. This past week though things have been extremely laggy. But now things seem to be cleared up thanks to the hard work of CG.
Let's not also forget the hard work from the rest of the team here on SG too responding to tickets and making sure the community is in line by reinforcing the rules.
For future reference though on updates to the site and potential bugs, you should look at the Announcement section.

Just to clarify, cg is the team. Nobody else has anything to do with the technical side of things. The site really is a one-man show when you get down to it. The rest of us are all pretty much just paper-pushers who handle the day-to-day bureaucracy necessary to serve the community.

I've been here 3.5 years, I think over that entire time the site has been down maybe a total of 7-10 days? Most of those were for system upgrades. That's pretty darn good for a one man show with a site as complex as this.

I work in IT, and there is nothing worse than rubbing in a server's downtime.
The uptime counter is a score of pride amongst the server community, and the scoring system works similar to how a recovering alcho. would count his days sober; one point per day, one slip-up and the number that you worked so very hard to maintain resets to zero.
No sys admin would ever say downtime is normal, and if you asked them why, the default response would be, "If I knew why, we wouldn't have had it in the bloody first place"
