Start here, Dwarf Fortress and Freeciv would be my choice from those.

Probably the only spreadsheet I can ever appreciate.
Thank you!

Oh wow, thanks for the spreadsheet. I've seen lists of free games before, but never one so easy to maneuver.
Edit: I forgot to actually recommend something: I'd say Elona if you're willing to invest the time to get used to it (like most roguelikes, it doesn't really provide any information as to what things do, but finding out is half the fun).

I can't really think of any really great recommendations off the top of my head, but this thread might interest you.

Or Galactic Civilizations II: Ultimate Edition.
I would argue it's better than Civ, especially if you like space exploration and building your own ships
Did I mention you can build Terror Stars, a giant spherical space station that destroys entire solar systems with one blast?

I see what you did there, xarabas hehe.
I'd recommend something like Terraria. Freeware... Dink Smallwood (when finished, play a custom campaign named Pilgrim's Quest or something like this, it is really, REALLY epic), Realm of the Mad God is fun too.

True time sinker made for a world with 50 hour days, Sins of a Solar Empire, a really good 4X RTS.

Well I could recommend a lot of things but I don't know your laptops system specs. Anyway - don't try any FPS games if you don't have mouse for your laptop. Otherwise you will be kinda fked up.:D From free games try "Age of Empires Online". It's a free game from Games for Windows and you can download it through their client.

I'm not going to go into extensive details about my situation, unless you guys want. Not like I have anything better to do!
But I managed to have my sister bring my laptop to the hospital for me, and eventually I'll be able to go back home while I recover. I was looking for some time consuming games I can put some free time into. I have minecraft, and not really looking for an MMO right now.
Also, free games are recommended. But, I can shell a few dollars out for anything that catches my eye.
Thanks for the help, guys.
