Example from Poland.
Regular hen eggs at a cheap supermarket right now are priced 8.50 PLN per 10. One egg is 0.85.
Cyberpunk 2077 official full price in Steam is 199 PLN.

I can get 234 eggs for Cyberpunk 2077 in Poland.

Norway:
Cp2077: 579 kr
Box of 12 eggs: 42.9 kr (where and what I bought yesterday, "L" size from "free range" chicken).
That's 162 eggs (161.95). I'm sure it could go up to 200-something, but that's all.
While the numbers differ a bit, https://www.globalproductprices.com/Norway/egg_prices/ also suggests that eggs aren't very cheap here.

Let's see:
A random online price for a local supermarket, which does home deliveries apparently, is 6 large eggs for 3.35 levs or ~0.56 levs per egg.

Euro to Lev has a fixed exchange rate of 1 Euro = 1.96 Levs, so Cyberpunk's base price of 59,99 Euro = 117.35 Levs.

End result: ~209 eggs.

Everyone here seems to be dedicated in finding the cheapest price for eggs in their country. I usually buy quality free-range eggs from a local organic farm over here, which cost me €0.35 each. With Cyberpunk at full price of €60, that's 171 eggs.

I think the goal was to find the closest to the cheapest variant simply because otherwise technically we could also get someone selling 1 luxury egg for $60 probably, So we were optimizing to see based on value how much that means to someone, technically the less eggs you can get at the cheapest price, the more affordable games technically would be in your region, doesn't mean that's completely true as wage is also important for the area, but if you consider argentina, where someone said they could get 710 eggs for $45 usd, it shows how games are overpriced as the min wage there is around 300 euros per month according to google, you can see how one $45 game is like almost 20% of their monthly income or around 7 full priced($45) games per month. However you take somewhere like usa, where min wage per month is $1200 , which is like 4x that of argentina, and although we can buy less eggs for that amount of money, we can buy many more games at full price, as we could technically buy 20 $60 games for the min wage. Not trying to make it political or anything, but it shows the gaps in between and why they'd resort to other methods of playing games which seems fair considering the given data, as after all we're all humans and in no way should we be treated differently no matter where we are born.

That's a good price for free-range eggs. Here they can cost a fortune, specially if you buy it directly or semi-directly to the producer. On big supermarkets, price goes about 50-100% more than normal ones, but they're not the same quality.

Brazil:

Cyberpunk 2077 Official Full Price = R$199,90 (~US$40)
Eggs: 20 eggs Official Full Price = R$13,90.
So Cyberpunk 2077 = 288 eggs, pretty much.

Maybe I should fudge the numbers to get 0277 eggs?

(I lied, there is no "official egg price", really.)

Cheers!

0.33CAD per egg, so 79.99/0.33 =

242 eggs (but really 121 now because 50% off sale).

  • Do Big Macs have a sale price? Maybe there's, like, coupons?
  • Over here at least, Big Macs became super tiny many years ago. They're not Big in any way whatsoever.

About 362 eggs in my case if I buy them from the local supermarket. Will be more or less of course, depending on branding and other things.

Cyberpunk 2077 full price is 1099₴
Eggs cost about 60₴ per 10-pack (dunno what you call "regular", I can see different brands from 55.99₴ up to 109₴), so one egg is 6₴
So, 183 eggs.

Spain here. I usually buy the normal L (large) eggs at €2.36/dozen. That's a pretty good price, tho I could find cheaper than 2 bucks/dozen, I think it's a representative price. CP2077 is €59,99 full price, with €0,196 per egg makes 305 eggs.

I'm in USA.
Cyberpunk 2077 normal price is $59.99 USD on steam
What size eggs we talking? (I'm using Walmart current prices)
Jumbo are $2.94 for 12 eggs - $0.245 each - so 244-245 eggs
Extra large are $5.12 for 18 eggs - $0.2844 each - about 211 eggs
Large are $4.67 for 18 - $0.259 each - about 231-232 eggs

[Edit - found some cheaper on Walmart. $2.36 for 12 Large, so $0.197 each or about 304 eggs]
Averaging all of them, 248 eggs.

What an odd question this was but I love it.

While radiologist (me) earns less than $500 per month. I really don't understand how publisher/Steam decides the game price here.

I could get more eggs if I used cheap battery cage eggs, but those are nasty and inhumane in the US. I imagine standards are better in Europe though.
