And this game is just a huge waste of time - there's no challange at all in the Cthulhu Saves the World-like combat part of the game, it's just attacking stuff and occasionaly healing your party. Fighting enemies doesn't require any kind of skill or strategy, maybe beside first rather easy boss fight and the last one which in my opinion is just pain in the ass. And both these events are happening in different art and combat style than CStW, so...

Are you specifically looking for RPG-maker games, or just JRPGs in general? If you are looking for RPG-maker games, then I guess these will be something for you (note: I have not played them)

If you are looking for JRPGs (and similar) then Septerra core & Anachronox might be for you.

And if you are just looking for turnbased & party based CRPGs, that don't have to be JRPGs, then I would recommend Temple of Elemental Evil.

And depending on exactly what you are looking for, something like Jagged Alliance 2 might tickle your fancy.

There are loads of jRPGs on Desura - Monster RPG 1&2 (free), The Fall of Gods, Rijin the Specpyre, Chronicles of a Dark Lord, and any more.

Heroes win in turn per turn combat no doubt! That's my opinion though.

There are also many significant games in the genre for SNES, like Final Fantasy III (6), Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana and many more, but you need to hunt the roms and emulators by yourself.

I believe this is enough to keep you occupied for a while ;-D.

Wanderlust and Manor of the Damned are not turn based.

And while Wanderlust is fun in co-op, it's really bad as single player - just my 2 cents.

Too bad Chrono Trigger never made it's way to Europe, maybe I'll go and search for an emulator, because I really enjoyed SoM on my SNES =)

Chrono Trigger is available on PSN (PSP/Vita/PS3/ maybe PS4), and on Nintendo DS. If you have one of these consoles, then grab it.
