I'm looking for decent games with LOTS of replayability. Almost like, I don't know. Dredmor, FTL, Binding of Isaac, those kinds of games.

Please, nothing I already own.

I'd prefer RPGs and roguelikes, but I'll accept any suggestion I don't already have.

Cheap is preferred! <$10 is a great price that I can probably afford.

No strategy games, please. I've tried a couple and disliked them. I like fast paced and with a feeling of threat (Like in most roguelikes, where it doesn't take much to die but there's always a restart button).

Nothing scary! Please.

This can help with the cheap element.

I especially recommend Waves. It's not a roguelike, but it is fast-paced with a feeling of threat, with an easy restart.

Thanks, my friend got it and recommends it.

Rogue Legacy seems okay. Is it any good?

Yes, it is very fun and it actually feels like you make real progress if you keep playing :)

Is it basically endlessly playable?

I'm quite certain there is a "final boss", but it's very difficult (in a fun way) to get to it and the end.

You can find Dark Souls retail for very cheap in some places. The key activates on Steam.

Steam only, here. I have around $22 on my wallet.

It is, I'm not paying that much for a single game.

Yeah I understand but it's worth full price, imo. Its definitely fits the "LOTS of replayability" category.

I honestly don't know what you're getting at or why you posted this.

I have ~$23 to spend and I don't want to get 2 games out of it.

My point was quality over quantity. It's always better to get 2 good games than 10 mediocre ones. That's not to say that you should assume cheap games are bad, just that you shouldn't use price as the sole justification for not getting something.

I'm interested in it, but I'd like some word from someone who's played it.

From lokonopa: "Frustratingly enjoyable. This is a game full of brick walls, designed for players to hit each of them. Upgrade costs scale fast making this a very long grind. Fifteen deaths without any real progress will happen. Throwing away gold on bad upgrades will happen. Buy the Miner and realize it was a 500G mistake. Oops. Delete save and start over. Magic is very underwhelming for a long time. Higher level characters won't escape 2-4 hit deaths either. Rogue Legacy will punish gamers in a deliciously addictive and evil way. Usually by beating them to death with a crowbar and urinating on the corpse."

Have you taken a look at Dark Souls? I wouldn't call it say that it has replayability, but it will take anywhere from 40-60 hours to complete.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II

Each of those is about 40 hours for one playthrough as long as you don't rush through it. I have spent 100+ hours on each one. They'll probably go 75% during the sale, so you could get both for $5

When it ends up in a flash sale, get Ys Origin. Great game, fast paced, and while most Ys games have plenty of replay value with all those difficulty levels and time attack, Ys Origin also has three playable characters. Ys: The Oath in Felghana is also pretty good, but I think Origin has more replay value, if it didn't I wouldn't have put 1000+ hours of play into both of those games.

It's $11.99 right now for Ys Origin and $8.99 for Ys: The Oath in Felghana, but I'm sure they will go lower in a flash sale at some point.
