There are a few exceptions on this site:
Battlefield 3 (Origin) and Minecraft are on the list of giftable games as well.

It'd be cool to see Blizzard titles added, but I think the terms for gifting them are more questionable, and it is something that nobody wants to worry about dealing with (at least for the time being.)
Maybe? Someday? Hopefully? Emphasis on all three.

Don't worry they will have server emulators by the end of the summer, they already have them but they are not 100% yet.

First s-row emulator is already out. Dunno why would you want to play that game though.

Well, i played open beta, got with firends to the end once. Dont feel like playing it, id rather play D2 or wait for Torchlight 2.
Saddest part about that is theyll make lots of money on ppl that didnt realise what they buying... Yeah D3 is great succes money wise. For Blizzard that is.

So you played about a quarter into the first act and felt like you had enough? Maybe you should play the whole game before coming to a conclusion.

I've played through it expecting it to get better at some point. It didn't.

It gave me enough "impression" to spend my money elswere. Especialy when its priced so high.
Imagine my laughs when on first day ppl couldnt play because blizz couldnt handle so many logins... Imagine even more laughs when D3 caused whole bnet server to crash so all blizz games that require it like wow were unavailible as well. Hell ill prolly buy D2 just to pay blizz for laughs i got. And to get decent game that is.
Soon well be buying drm with games attached... Just like tv, you watching advertisments with some pieces of movies inbetween...

Actually many games can't be played offline without some preparation. Putting yourself offline and all that is different than getting offline because of losing the connection.

Unfortunately not all of them. I don't remember exactly which as it has been a long time.
Add to that games like Company of Heroes who need to connect to the Relic Server or (and here is the big fail for digital games) need to have the game's DVD inserted to play offline.

Indeed, but a multiplayer game is most of the time not MP only. It could also be played on LAN (LOTRO is an MMO so it is completely different).

you have to set yourself as offline, or be logged in to steam when you lose connection. If steam is off and you don't have a connection and didn't set yourself to offline mode previously, you won't be able to play your games. I ran into that issue myself when my internet suddenly cut off while my PC was turned off and I couldnt game at all.

Diablo 3 fucking sucks. I am glad no one gets to give it away.

Is it that hard to comprehend that someone does not like the game you like? In my opinion the game is a waste of time, I didn't respond to you saying that it's good by insulting you, did I?

Not only mine. Check Metacritic user and critic score. Max Payne 3 is one of the best third person shooters of all time.

You've never played any of the Max Payne games, haven't you? How would you know if they are any good if you haven't played them? While Diablo 3 and Max Payne 3 can't be compared by their gameplay, Max Payne 3's graphics and story are much better.

I agree Max Payne is one of the best shooters I've played in the last years (I'm tired of CoD and BF...) but I find Diablo 3 is much better. It's a personal opinion though.
BTW, if you trust Metacritic to value the precise quality of a game...well, no comments. Besides Max Payne has almost the same score as Diablo 3.

Then why can people choose to gift Battlefield 3 and or Minecraft?
Comment has been collapsed.
First of all, thank you for even thinking about gifting Diablo III, killabytes :)
Secondly, the reason why Diablo III can't be gifted here might be because SteamGifts wouldn't be able to verify the succesful transaction. In other words, someone might:
1) fake a puzzle giveaway with some friends
2) make the friends fake a "successfully recieved gift"
3) ???
4) Profit
EDIT: All guesswork. I have no facts backing me up.

Isn't the Starter Edition free for anyone with a Battle.NET account ?
Comment has been collapsed.
The reason it's not on Sgifts is probably because nobody really thought about putting it on here. Perhaps making a support ticket and see what Loko thinks.

Yeah, I know. I want to make a giveaway of Diablo 3... Nope. Can't do it.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes but there are other games that you can give away that are not on steam what so ever. What is the difference of giving away BF3 compared to giving away D3.

Minecraft was added around when Notch got married and there was a buy 1 get 1 free deal going and it was in extreme high demand. As for battlefield 3 I can't recall why it was added. I'll see to it they both get removed as they are not steam redeemable though. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
Comment has been collapsed.
Not only D3 is not steam redeemable, but it also does not have a gift option, you have to buy it for an already existant account.
