So basically I woke up this morning, was checking my e-mail, when suddenly I've received 2 strange mails.

1 - From glyph.net, that someone was trying to log in into my account.

2 - From microsoft, I've got this message. Microsoft account
Security alert
We think that someone else might have accessed the Microsoft account. When this happens, we require you to verify your identity with a security challenge and then change your password the next time you sign in.
If someone else has access to your account, they have your password and might be trying to access your personal information or send junk email.
If you haven't already recovered your account, we can help you do it now.

I'm not sure if I'm being hacked or got a keylogger somehow, but I can tell you a few things.

1.I don't click any links that I receive from unknown people. (Steam mostly)

2.I didn't download anything, that might have a keylogger. (I'm pretty sure.)

3.Scanned my PC with AVG 2014, not sure if it's a good anti-virus, but I scanned and no viruses.

If anyone has any suggestions what to do, that would be appreciated.

P.S. Sorry if my English is terrible.

EDIT: I forgot to say THAT I don't use Microsoft mail, so something is happening, scanned with tons of malwares, nothing.

Go get Malwarebytes and scan with that.
Also activate pro version trial for the scan.

Chances are that you are then clear.
Also throw AVG in trash as others have said.
My anti-virus is brain.exe, highly recommend it.

kill avg with fire. other than that im still not entirely convinced how trion (glyph) releated "hackings" are entirely our fault so i wouldnt pay much attention to that one as you would be like 1000th hacked person this week alone when it comes to trion.

plus, its relatively easy for somoene to get your microsoft email (but not pass obviously) and i also had tons of those microsoft releated account logins from some god forgotten locations (even got my live acc locked because of it), but it wasnt my fault at all.

still, with all that said you cant be sure its not keylogger u have there so id give a few different rootkit/malware scanners a try

Emsisoft Anti-Malware is decent, plus id also run a rootkit scan with TDSSKiller and/or GMER

edit: almost forgot about this one, its a decent antikeylogger software but i hate clogging too many of "anti" stuff as it slows your pc down, but you could give this one a shot too http://www.spyshelter.com/download-spyshelter/
edit 2: also make sure you google a bit about this one if you plan to use it, as its known to cause quite a few bsods on apparently random systems. but when it works, it does its job just fine :P

I've also received two emails from Microsoft stating that someone has tried to access my account.

None of my information has been changed, to my knowledge. My activity also shows a lot of Incorrect password entered attempts, all for the same IP address... My IP address, which is weird because I NEVER get my password wrong, & no one is here to use my laptop. I haven't a clue what to make of it. Scanned with Defender & Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Pro & came up with nothing.

3 days ago I received two emails too.

One from Steam, one from Google. A person with the exact ip tried to connect on my accounts.

I reinstaled my Windows. Better do that. Good luck.

Sorry for my crapy english.

There is no point of doing that, since I recently reinstalled them. + I don't use Microsoft mail so something is going on.

  1. check if the mails are realle from where they claim to be and do not click links inside those mails

  2. if there are links inside those mails, check (without clicking) the url they point to (if its pishing the target adresses look only on first glimpse correct)

  3. change account passwords using a different computer

  4. check if logs of the account can validate the problem claimed in the email

  5. never use the same password on 2 different accounts

  6. do the HiJackThis Scan, poster above has link for you
