Have You Ever Had A "Good" Mod Experiance?

I've had a lot of great times with all sorts of silly mods over the years, from the many extra gametypes added to Quake (Rocket Arena, Weapons Factory, Catch The Chicken and so on) right up to replacing Skyrim's dragons with horrifying Macho Man mutants.

All of my experiences with mods have been positive.

Nope. I'm one of the few which are forever cursed by mods, no matter how many instructions are provided, i always have to look for a fix. Unless it's Valve's steam workshop (Thank you Lord Gaben).

Let's see, the 2009 insanity of modding fallout 3. 13 different fixes for one single mod, and when i got it to work the damn thing's save file corrupted after 3 hours of progressing and having to suffer that stupid birth scene.

The 2010 parody of installing a mod for HL2. Oh yes, indeed throwing bananas are hilarious, but after i got the damn banana my enemies became nothing more than squiggles. Guess i should've gotten the original then, but hey, i do now. Besides, i had less money then.

The 2012 agony, when i tried and failed desperately yet again to mod F:NV, which resulted in more hilariously long periods of suffering and tweaking and looking for fixes, and wondered why the hell didn't i take that damn coding class when i could, and when i finally got it all together (Damn you FOOK, i'll remember those cheesy gun models to my death, wasn't at all funny, depressing rather, to see my death so early after i'd left the hometown), after a mere hour, me mum told me to go the f**k to sleep.

And 2013. Two zero freaking thirteen. XCOM. Shudders* If you're trying to mod XCOM, and you don't have XCOM:EW, you're f**ked. The modding wasn't that bad, but for some reason my goddamn IRONMAN CLASSIC SAVEFILE IS GONE. GONE YOU HEAR ME

So shit, i'm sticking it to Valve's workshop. That shit was a lifesaver. Ain't got luck like you guys, being so tech smart and whatnot.
