I used to use Steam Achievement Hunters to track achievements and compete with people but that's been down for a while. There were some good features like the ability to read/write guides on how to get achievements.

The only really good/accurate one I've found so far is MetaGamerScore which also tracks achievements on other platforms like XBoxLive etc but not many people seem to use it.

Are there any others that I don't know about?

EDIT:

Anyone fancy joining the Steam Gifts Achievement Hunters crew on MetaGamerScore?

Indeed. It's a pity that he simply took it offline without reaching out to the community to help keep it running. I'd have been more than happy to lend a hand.

It seems to take forever to update my profile, it's slow and doesn't do some really basic (easy) stuff like:

  • showing the latest achievements I've got across all games
  • no leaderboards by country/friends-list
  • no ability to update individual games (I understand that updating every single one of my games would be slow, but quite often I just want to refresh one or two games)

Yeah, it is pretty sucky. But it was the only one I knew of. I don't really bother with that stuff much myself.

Sorry, I came across a bit negative there. Thanks for the suggestion :)

Nah, its fine. I won't deny those flaws. It is pretty glitchy at times.

I can compare myself to friends though, as long as their account is also on the site.

Their scoring system seems really off.

Sonic Racing Transformed, Collect all stars in World Tour, VERY hard, 1000 points
Titan Attacks, Kill 10 Saucers, VERY easy, 1000 points

playfire sucks balls! after it started the big updating road, nothing is working there anymore :@ ( its like Rotmg, after kabam take over). All my achievement stat and game activities are SOOOOOOO VERY wrong. for example : i have 1699
ULTRA RARE achievements and .... 3 common achievements.....hmmmm , yes sure!!

Saw a link to it the other day and used it to see how much money I'd "wasted" but didn't think to use it for achievement tracking. It's ok, but there's no easy way to see your world/country ranking unless you're in the top 20.

Raptr <- requires client for secret xbox / Live achievements, steam achievements can be tracked through the website in the user panel, listed as "sync steam achievements", if you're using the client to track PC gametime, achievement tracking is almost instant when you exit the game.
Astats <- nothing needed aside for your steam account, obviously.
Giant Bomb<- kinda slow with updating
Playfire <- extremely slow fetching achievements
Evolve <- account can be added and achievements will get crawled at a set interval, kinda like Astats, Giant Bomb & Playfire do.
Oh and Metagamerscore, but you already knew about that :p

Thanks for those links nocturnenl. I've seen Astats before, and it seems to have improved since the last time I checked.

Steam Achievement Hunters was just fucking awesome, I'd say the layout was pretty nice and functional (especially compared to other sites like this) and site had most of the useful features I could think of, like easy tracking your friends and their progress or walkthroughs. But what I realised just after it ceased to exist, the best feature was no problems syncing my account, before SPAH I used Astats but it never fully showed my achievement list and all games. Never. And it still doesn't. Just like the rest I tried after SPAH went down...

I really don't like how Metagamerscore looks, not just that it tracks non-Steam achievements (booo) when all I care are Steam ones and I'd like to be able to see comparison between other Steam users and just their (or mine) Steam achievements.

Besides, SPAH had it's own achievements for doing stuff... achievementception!

If cg just could see our potential and expand his empire to a service tracking achievements... Achievement whores of all countries, unite!

I mainly use SteamScore but it fails to update half the time. WastedOnSteam reports my stats incorrectly as they've duplicated quite a lot of my games :S, Playfire tracking has never worked for me, and though it's the most accurate one I've tried, I can't deal with how ugly Raptr is.

Will take a look at MetaGamerScore and join the crew, thanks Adam!

EDIT: Messaged WOS's team and they fixed the error, so they're my top choice at the moment :)

I agree on the raptr bit, it's getting more and more fugly with every update they push out.
I still mourn the loss of SPAH :(

I can understand the pop-ups, but I believe you can turn them off. I've never really had any trouble with lag, only the site being slow, nor any problem with the login. But each for his own, I guess.

Hmmm, I used to complete trophy lists in PS3 games. Steam achievements I never really complete although they still influence me buying a game lol.

None the less, I will join you on MetaGamer!

I mostly use astats and SteamScore. SteamScore is nice just because you can quickly look at what you have 100% and what you're close to 100%ing. The mod(s) at astats do a good job at keeping up on cheaters and checking/verifying information posted in the cheating thread, or at least they were last time I checked.

I prefer Astats over all of them,it doesn't have the prettiest layout, but it seems to be have the best support and shows a lot of information I'd like to see on the profile.

The only other site I use is sAPI which isn't for achievement tracking, but just for the random stats they display. They also have a neat feature that keeps a list of your games and displays any that you've lost which is useful if you trade and are weary about people charging back on keys they've traded to you.
