As part of their ongoing Kickstarter campaign for Banner Saga 3 the guys from Stoic have teamed up with Twitch to make a special deal: From February 23-28, everyone who has Twitch Prime can get Banner Saga 1 free! Then next week, from March 2 - 7, all Twitch Prime subscribers can receive Banner Saga 2 free! (If you have Amazon Prime, you totally also have Twitch Prime automatically)
Twitch wants to help Banner Saga 3 be awesome too, so for every player who downloads and plays each game during their featured week, Twitch will give $1.00 toward development of Banner Saga 3! Even if you already own both games you can download them again for FREE or introduce your friends to the series, and everyone who downloads and plays will be helping fund development of Banner Saga 3!
Don't forget that you need to actually launch the game (not just download it) for Stoic to get the contributions from Twitch - so please launch it!

It's an emote from Twitch of Bob Ross. It's obviously a play on 'cool story bro' and is used when someone is telling a story and people are 'interested' to hear more. So it was sarcasm, but it was only meant it in jest.

There are 195 countries on the world now. Twitch Prime is available in 3.5% of them. If the site stats are accurate, then the majority of SG's user base is from that 96.5%.

That's still more than twice as many users who cannot get Twitch Prime compared to those who could buy it. I never really understood why they advertise it this much on a global platform that is also trying to aggressively expand in Asia, when this highly-marketed feature is limited to North America and a select few Western European countries.

I'm going to start making a post like this on every region restricted giveaway. Seriously though, what's your point? Amazon only acquired them 6 months ago and they're simply rolling out a new 'Twitch Prime'. Twitch Turbo was available to most countries so any restrictions are likely due to Amazon. I would imagine it has something to do with where Amazon has their Prime offerings as the Twitch Prime is simply a feature of that.

You don't have to 'purchase' Twitch Prime to get the perks. They offer free trials which only require an e-mail, CC and a VPN if your country doesn't offer Amazon Prime. Anyone in the world can sign up, grab the reward and cancel the trial everytime so long as they're willing to make a new e-mail.

See my reply above: the problem is that they are advertising a feature limited to seven countries on a site that thinks in global scale and has been trying to expand in Asia quite a bit—a region where their currently most-marketed feature isn't even available. But hey, it is not even available in most of their second busiest region, Europe. It just doesn't make sense that they put so much effort into pushing Prime instead of trying to get people to use the bit system, which is global and has a hefty (and, frankly, unhealthy) profit margin for them. Or expand the partnership program where they get even more money.

Pretty sure it's going to be on that Amazon/Twitch gaming platform just like the other freebies so far.
Edit: It is.

Redemption instructions:
1) Go to twitch.tv/directory and sign into your Twitch account
2) Find “Start your epic journey in The Banner Saga” in the left side-bar under “FREE WITH PRIME”
3) Mouse over the offer and click the “Claim Offer” button
4) Install the game launcher
5) Download the game client from launcher
6) Launch the game and enjoy your rewards!

Would have loved to play Banner Saga 2, but as with always when it comes to amazing stuff on Amazon, not available here.

But hoping that everyone who can get these freebies sees this and will get them!

Actually, people who link stuff on Amazon or even say 'you can get it on Amazon!' are my pet peeve. :D

Not Steam key, so not interested. ^_^

Edit: It's just a DRM-free version for a limited time. So after 28th it will disappear and if you uninstall it from your computer, you will need to buy it from one of the stores. (at least what I understood) >.<

I would like to know, too.
When you download a game through Twitch launcher, do you get an installed game (as Steam does), or do you get a drm-free installer that you can use on whatever pc you have and without the need to use that launcher?
