You can already buy bundles with it (they cant be used to preorder though which sucks)

Another reason to sit on it is that I've heard you lose the whole thing when spending it. You want a $4 bundle? Kiss the rest goodbye. Bleh.

According to staff comments in-chat, the value of the coin increases relative to the total number of that coin remaining.
In other words, each time someone uses a coin, all other coins of that same type increase in value.
How that's implemented, or how often that's checked, I dunno;
But it sounds like it'll keep increasing over time, until only a handful are left.

leftover money is gone? or does it stay on your account somehow?

"Groupees introduces its very own in-system, Trading Coins. Part digital currency, part collectible, part loyalty reward, the Groupees Trading Coins will be one of many tradeable virtual goods within Groupees new website scheduled for release in early October. Buyers of the Be Mine 14 bundle will receive these special, one-of-a kind Trading Coins–$5 purchasers will receive the $3 Jonny Antimatter Coin, $1 purchasers will receive the $1 Slugs Plutonium Coin. These particular coins have certain characteristics that are like stock ownership in Groupees and are redeemable for their cash value should Groupees ever be purchased or go public. Like stock, the value of the Coins will increase as Groupees increases in value, and this will be published so holders know their value. The value will never decrease below the $3 and $1 face values. PLEASE NOTE, Coins will be issued and released to bundle buyers in October when the Groupees Trading Exchange is live."

Anyone know why I have a coin that's worth $-1.07 (Deluxe Mega Saver coin)? I'm not sure what the 'face value' was initially, but according to their statement it should never fall below face value. Therefore, the coin had to start with a value of less than $-1.07, right? If so, that's pretty strange.
Here's my take on the Groupees coins in general, though.
Does it suck that you can't use a coin on a pre-order? Yes.
Does it suck that can't keep the change on the value of the coin when used to purchase a bundle? Absolutely.
Did you get the coin for free when purchasing a cheap bundle of games/music? Affirmative.
Therefore, I simply see the coins as a way for Groupees to say, "Hey, thanks for buying a bundle from us. Have whatever other bundle you want for free."

Recently noticed that my one dollar Johnny coin suddenly changed to.1.75 o-O
And if yes, do you think they may inflate further or will stagnate at their current value?
