Quick check that this idea is ok.

So, I got a couple copies of Sleeping Dogs when it was on sale to give away here. I thought it would be fun to give away one publicly, then ask for people to tell me jokes in the comments to get an invite to a private giveaway of a second copy. I don't think this violates any rules, but I wanted to double check with the forum to make sure. Is this kosher?

Yeah, it should be okay. Whatever you do with the private link is completely up to you. But if it will require you to ask for a re-roll, that's when you'll need support's approval.

Since you're not requiring people to do something in the public giveaway, you're good. You're merely stating, "Hey, write a funny joke and you might get invited to a private giveaway." You can do whatever you want in private giveaways.
