I'm really looking forward to another Shadowrun. I used to play the SNES version for so much time, but never got into the P&P. My friends, on the other hand, still love it.

Holy flying fuck. Shadowrun kickstarter by much of the old FASA team. I cannot donate enough money to this. THIS is my childhood. Fantastic find OP.

Hate to make a "convince me" post, but... if you would?
I'm tempted to back this, but at $30 to get any Kickstarter-exclusive benefits (vs $15 for the game without significant bonuses), the price is steep -- especially since the game will be compatible with tablets (i.e. probably not pushing detailed high-poly models and possibly not worth, to me, the asking price). I've only played a tabletop PnP RPG once... it was Star Wars, and we accidentally killed Princess Leia and used her body as a shield... although funny, it was overwhelming (we were all new to it), and so I didn't try again. And I've not played any of the prior Shadowrun video games.

So... for those who have faith in this one... what makes Shadowrun great?

Whenever I see talk about Shadowrun I think of that other game that was on 360.
