Thanks in advance,
So I get 400-900 ping on any server for CS:S as you can see my ping is 15ms according to speedtest.net but when I join any CS:S server I get massive lag no one else was using my internet when I ran the test and when I was playing CS:S, and no I am not downloading whilst playing Counter-Strike: Source. Does anyone else have this problem and or fix for it?
Thanks again

Restart computer and try again, most likely you got some update client running somewhere that is lagging your internet connection.

Well first question is where is the server located??

your speed test is only measured at the nearest server near you (seeing the < 50 mile distance to it)

I set my server browser by clicking on latency to find the servers with least ping and I still have 600.

I joined multiple servers according to their latency and still had that 600 m/s.

The PING changes on the server host location, the more it's far from you the higher the ping.

Al you have to do is wait for the ping to mellow out.

So wait 5 hours whilst on the server?
It isn't just the ping it's the lag after 1 minute I still have no lower than a 600 ping.

Oh, I was joking (a mawiwana joke, huehuehue).

The reason for your ping is probably the host server of the matches and that can't be changed. The only way to fix this problem is to find other servers in your vicinity.

Usually turning your computer upside down will help: reaching servers on the opposite hemisphere is difficult otherwise
