region lock?

Hi,

Apparently I sent a gift via STEAM that was region locked. I was unaware of this as there was no indication on the gift itself.
I've been informed by the GA winner that he/she can't activate it.
However, under my gift history, it is showing up as REDEEMED. Does this mean the gift has been activated?

Not 100% sure but I think it says that as long as they accepted it the gift, whether they activated it or put it in their inventory.
Also I assume it is for you Space Farmers giveaway, I guess the gift you sent is an extra copy that you got in your inventory after activating the game on you account. Generally these gifts that popped in your inventory are region locked if you are not in a ROW region.

I see. Thanks. But there was no indication or short blurb listing any region restrictions. I took a screenshot of it before sending it out.

What should be the next course of action? The winner has not sent it back to me or declined the gift.

Did he not send it back or did he refuse to send it back ?
Ask them to send it back, then you can try to get a ROW copy to provide them, or ask them if they would agree to delete the giveaway and if they agree create a ticket to delete the giveaway, or just live with a not received mark on your profile.
If they refuse to send the gift... well I don't know. I would tell them that I'm going to report them for refusing to send it back. I'm not sure at all mods would actually suspend for this but it might convince the guy to send it back.

I have the same issue. I told giveaway creator to ask mods for deleting giveaway and send him his gift back.

I'm not 100% sure about this, but as far as I can remember space farmers 2 packs drop an extra copy that's region locked but has no mark, I recall a discussion on SG about the same problem previously but i'm unable to find it sadly.

Ask him to send you the gift back and either try getting another copy (possibly a bundle key, it's been bundled 9 times already) or just take a hit to your gifts delivered ratio, if the winner does not send the gift back I'd say there's no proof whatsoever that the winner is telling the truth about it being locked so the best course of action in that case would be to submit a support ticket to have them mark it as received since you can proof that you did send the gift already.
