Fallout DLC I got from here not working.

First off, YES I have Fallout New Vegas. I won the Gun Runners Arsenal DLC. I received it. But when I tried to redeem it, I said I needed to own the base game. I tried syncing my account after I got the game. I have NV installed. Anyone else have this problem and/or have a fix for this?

Still not an issue I see a solution for on this site. Try Steam Support, but they suck pretty much.

Taken from the FAQ:

Do not submit CD-keys or Steam gifts that have regional restrictions, or those that require VPN activation or methods to bypass regional restrictions.

The DLC has most likely been purchased in a Russian store - FalloutNV DLC incompatibility between regions is a known problem. You won't be able to activate it with your copy of FNV.

You should notify the giveaway creator and mark it as "not received" if he does not provide the region-free version of the DLC.

you cannot activate the DLC for games you don't own :)

you own the ROW version (APP ID 22380). The gifter own the EE/CIS/RU version (APP ID22490). they are different games in steam. looks like Dishonored WW & Dishonored RHCP.

Theoretically it's possible, but seeing as the giveaway creator is in some Russian groups, I tend to believe that the DLC is from the RU store :)

actually, even Poland and the Czech Republic and possibly other central/eastern Europe countries have their own version (including steam appid)

If you received a russian key, check "not received", that's the only thing you can do
