So I thought I'd put together a little train bearing some Christmas gifts made by or inspired by Japanese devs. I also wanted to introduce some of the really cool thematic trains that they have here in Kyushu (all around Japan really, but I've used the Kyushu trains most frequently so these are closest to my heart). Japan's rail system is truly fantastic -- the legendary precision they run with and the ability to keep on schedule down to the second is no lie.

GA's range from Levels 0-5 in requirements for entry.
All train GA's end on Christmas Day, for a little extra something something in your stocking to enjoy. :)

Without further adieu, please hop on board and enjoy the ride!

JR Rail Pass doesn't cover Nozomi trains so unfortunately I only had the pleasure of riding Hikari Shinkansen between Tokyo and Kyoto. But yeah, that train is better than any public transport I've ever been on. I just wish we could bring high speed rail to the US :(

Oh yeah, I forgot about that -- visitors coming to Fukuoka always get bummed because they weren't able to ride the Nozomi with the pass. Well, the Hikari is still pretty cool though, especially if you pop for one of the private booths

Miyazaki - Nango train looks so classy and retro. The cute story teller certainly influenced my vote (๑→‿ฺ←๑)

Great train, wonderful trains! =3
I can totally understand why many people in Japan love this type of transport =)
I think I like most something like Kumamoto <-> Misami A-train, with a retro look.

I voted for the SL Hitoyoshi because it is the closest type of train I have rode before. The observation car looks really cool.

I didn't realized there are so many different trains in Japan
I just knew that there's underground, railtrain (the one hanging like when you're holding a cat xD), normal train, bullet train, village train (the one that have no one in the station)
...Mind=blown

ジャガイモ -> Jyagaimo -> Potato
In case someone didn't know that
Praise me now! Pat me for my incredible-nessJK, don't treat me like a child xD

Btw are you Japanese or living in Japan right now or... well train fans? xD

That gif itself blows my mind. It's like some celestial loop of mind blowingness.

I do live in Japan, and am ethnically half-Japanese -- but my passport says I'm American.

So half-gaijin? xD

Ehh how lucky I want to live in there too!!
I have my dream job in there
So yeah :3

Which prefecture you live in?

The best prefecture, Fukuoka Prefecture!

I stalked your Steam profile and saw you want to be a seiyuu. I wish you much luck in your endeavor, I have much respect and admiration for voice talent! My sense is that there are actually a number of opportunities for gaikokujin in Japan in the voice talent field, particularly in the area of radio as a break-in point. If you have a 4-year degree, one typical avenue of entry into the country is via English teaching through a program like JET or an eikaiwa, after which friendships, hard work, and determination can open a lot of opportunities in different fields.

Yay someone actually encouraging me! xD

I won't give up for becoming a seiyuu though
But it's just I never saw even one seiyuu that non-Japanese (half Japanese excluded)
So yeah
Oh actually there's someone.. I think he's not even a half Japanese?
Kakihara Tetsuya
I'm really looking him up xD

4 years? Aww.. I'll be so old then :(

Uhh I kinda confused with your words.. Can you it simpler? xD
Sorry I'm one of the 馬鹿 人間 :(
Can I ask you something then?
If you want to go a seiyuu school
Where's the perfect place to go?
As far I know. there are many in Tokyo.. Yeah only Tokyo
Is there any place besides Tokyo?

Uhh I kinda confused with your words.. Can you it simpler? xD

Sorry, I will try to use simpler English. Your English is very good though for a second language, you seem to me to be very 賢い

But it's just I never saw even one seiyuu that non-Japanese (half Japanese excluded)

It might be a little rare in the celebrity seiyuu circles, but I think there are actually a lot of chances for gaikokujin in Japan if you have talent. If you can get some work history, connections, and experience through things like radio or TV appearances, it might help build towards your goal of becoming a seiyuu.

4 years? Aww.. I'll be so old then :(

Probably still not as old as me, haha! Never too late to start something if you work hard at it.
Also, there are other ways to get a work visa in Japan, it's just that teaching English is one of the most common routes.

If you want to go a seiyuu school where's the perfect place to go?

Sorry, I don't really know much about the seiyuu industry in detail. But I think having work experience in the entertainment industry with radio/tv/youtube appearances would be very helpful in getting actual work.

Actually I know your every words
I just don't understand it
Like "break-in point" or "JET or an eikaiwa"
Thank you I'm 賢い 可愛い エリーチカ- Oh wait that's not my name xD

Hehe, actually I just graduated from my highschool few years ago
It's just I saw some highschool student or at least 18 y.o. already become a seiyuu
I'm so jealous!! xD

Ah yeah my English, I kinda want to use it.. Maybe become a English teacher in a school
Still it'll be weird if I can't speak Japanese 100%

If there are some seiyuu school outside Tokyo maybe I'll take it :3

Anyway thank you, your advices and everything.. That's really great for me :)
