I enjoyed a lot of indie games: Darkest Dungeon, Nuclear Throne, Rogue Legacy, Shadowrun, The Banner Saga, etc...

legends of eisenwald is a small indie game i got through humble bundle, really nice surprise
I recommend Project Zomboid, it's on early access, but there are a lot of content and lots of mods. Shards of Azuria seems to be good, it's on my wishlist.
