I'd have to say Super Mario World followed closely by Super Mario Bros 3

Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario World, and Yoshi's Island form a sublime trio of perfect platforming experiences for me.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to back up Mario, too. Though I think my favorite iteration was Sunshine, with Galaxy as a close second.

Played a lot of Mario in my childhood and I still think it's the best platformer.

+1 for Mario, also Mega Man and Rayman.
