Stop writing thanks - i gave nothing to you,say thanks if you won anything else is just hypocritical! everyone should feel somesort of "universal thanks" for the chance of having such a site so there should be no need to thank someone without winning the thingy.

It's a weird thing, isn't it? One side thinks "if you don't say thanks, you're being a selfish, inconsiderate scruffmuffin!," while the other maintains "these empty thanks drown away the genuine appreciation proffered by winners and those who leave relevant or witty comments."
