Hmm... my favorite ones are:
Scott Sigler, I pretty much love everything he puts out but his Infected trilogy is imo the best thing he's ever written. ^^
Joe Hill, the oldest of Stephen King's sons. He's great, even better than his father. Well, I find most of SK's recent work to be a bit boring.
John Ajvide Lindqvist, I think I got all his books that have been translated to English and I love them all... especially "Let The Right One In", that's his best to date.
What about you?

I love Scott Sigler's stuff. I was hooked on his podcasts and it just rolled from there. I actually was goofing around in Photoshop and made a (edited a...) picture of him back in 2007-ish and someone put it on his old wiki somewhere. yay. hehe

NOTE: I'm not sure why the URL has "Puke" in it, but do not be afraid :)

I love to read horror stories, but I haven't actually explored horror -books- all that much. I've mostly read creepypasta, and the occasional Stephen King novel. I may have to look up some of the authors people mention here!

I guess I read a bit of Stephen King, and I liked it (not as much the horror, but the fantasy aspects of them). But, not an expert on horror, I guess.

I don't really like horror books. (The same goes for games and movies, unless they are rediciulously bad)
However, one of my favourite German authors also writes horror books: Markus Heitz
Unfortunately only his fantasy saga "The Dwarves" has been translated to English at the moment as far as I know.
Thanks for the giveaway!
