Well, my little cousin likes Pocoyo, Dora The Explorer and Dinotrain (Dinosaur Train?), but besides that, my knowledge on little kids is kinda limitted. Sorry I can't help you more, but if you have a Netflix account, there are a lot of shows and movies for little kids there ^^

We've got Netflix and he loves some titles but it is picky little fellow we're talking about! I totally forgot about Pocoyo. It is so cute! Dinosaur Train is sometimes ok for him and we'll try Dora out, it looks nice. It is not easy to find something that isn't dumb :) THANK YOU very much and good luck!

Someone on the forums mentioned some animated bug show not too long ago where they all sing Beatles songs. Name's escaping me right now, and I'm on mobile, but if you're a fan of the Beatles and not opposed to other artists covering their songs, it might be worth checking into.
Edit: found it... "Beat Bugs", and apparently it is on Netflix, so maybe you've already heard about it.
And there's always Adventure Time, too. Might be a little over a two year old's head though, not sure.

yes, we know beat bugs. And it's great! Thank for mentioning though :)

Try the classic sonic games, they're very simple, bright and colourful, kids tend to enjoy those

for animations, the hub has several kids aimed series like MLP:FiM and Littlest Pet Shop. They are bright colored and not dumb. If compared to 10 or 20 years ago, I'm glad we have more animations with moral lesson.
for games, nintendo have nice selection of mario, but classics like katamari damacy, pikmin, or little big planet are all ages friendly. Lego series is also nice,

The first gaming thing I had was a little Leap Frog type of game system. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/292006299936?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_noapp=true this precise thing to be exact. It gave me entertainment from when I was 1 till I turned about 7.
