Well, that's unexpected, all the other giveaways for this have been humble bundle links that do NOT redeem on Steam. Thank you for buying a gift for this game instead! Hope you bought it during the 75% discount sale, since it's back to the regular price now... :(

I just thought it would be nice to have others playing on Steam. And I really enjoy the game as my hours played show. (Steam shows less than 1/2 my hours played lol)/

One strange thing, I just tried to buy a gift copy of this EVE Online Starter Pack thing in the Steam store, and Steam won't let me. I can add the item to my cart, but the "PURCHASE AS A GIFT" button is greyed out - only "PURCHASE FOR MYSELF" is possible. :(

Wasn't called a "starter pack" when I bought it just EVE Online. Perhaps that is why SG has no option to gift Starter Pack, Rubicon Bundle or PLEX. The top button for me just says Play Now (there use to be a purchase as Gift option). So perhaps they changed it so gifts can only be bought during sales which means they lose $. We may find out this summer.

Couldn't find an official answer, just some stuff like this thread - hopefully it's been fixed since then, otherwise it sounds like the winner of this giveaway won't actually be able to login? :(

Guess we could try asking steam support, if we want to get an answer some time after the summer sale... :)

I didn't know about this thread, can not believe a Gift that is paid with cash and is a Steam gift is not working when it has in the past.

I will send the Steam Gift to the winner and hopefully Steam will make it work. How can they not honor a gift they sold?
