You run to the previous carriage. As soon as you lock the door you hear a smash as the door to the car you were just in comes flying off it's hinges.
You head away from the sound, back towards the door opposite door. As you get closer, you notice your reflection, mirrored in the door's highly polished metal trim. The shiny surface also reflects the door behind you... bulging as the beast tries to make it's way through.
As you go to turn the handle, it's locked. Strange, didn't you pass this way just a moment ago?
Only two entries so far (including me) - has everyone got this game already? Or have I just found myself on an unusual path?

This riddle seems to be really tripping people up. Maybe I'm just esoteric, but I didn't believe this one to be so hard! 🙃
A few hints, reveal them at your own risk!
Hint 1:
The clues within the puzzles get more vague and 'story-like' as you go on.
Hint 2:
The middle paragraph and the picture caption talks about something similar.
Hint 3:
What can you do with/in the image to relate to those clues?
Hint 4:
The answer isn't a 'word' so to speak, but it will make sense once you get it :P

I've also been here for days, feeling stupid. These hints make me worried that it's one of those "guess what I'm thinking" kind of puzzles, which would really sour the whole experience for me.

I hope this isn't the case. I know people have solved it before the hints were posted, and it seems logical, at least to me.
I'm no professional puzzle designer, that's for sure. Just trying my best :)

Same case here. Even after hints dropped I feel like something is missing here, could be similar to 'kitsune' earlier where response wasn't cryptic but based on knowledge.
