The Saga of Hot Summer continues in New York City, and I'm getting about as tired of telling it as I imagine you are of reading it. We're under yet another days-long Heat Advisory, temps up in the low 90s (around 33 degrees, for you C folk). It is, like all summers these days, the hottest summer there's ever been, and it feels like it.
Our first weekend of A Midsummer Night's Dream out in the Community Garden on the Upper West Side went well! The weather was hot but not stifling, and the audiences liked us almost as much as the mosquitoes and other bitey bugs did. The rain and heat outlook for this weekend is uncertain, but if we can perform safely we will. Right now the forecasts say we should expect rain and thunderstorms tonight (Saturday, as I write) to go with our Heat Advisory (Heat Index up around 100, or 37.7 C-degrees) and our Air Quality alert. But we're still hoping it works out. Rain has a way of not happening when it's been called for, in these parts.
This is an old key, recently revealed. It should be good, but these days who knows. If you have any trouble with it, please let me know. I think I've got the region-lock situation properly dealt with, but that whole business can be baffling. In any case, enjoy!
