Edit:
Hey, if you just won a giveaway, and the giveaway creator is adding you on Steam, it's probably to send you the game, you know what I mean? :)
It's difficult to keep giving these away. Not because they are so expensive (the Winged Cloud people may be a lot of things, but stupid isn't one of them...) but because they are so terrible. Each time I try to find a new way to say it, but I keep repeating myself. Like Paul Simon said, I’ve seen them all and, man, they’re all the same. I probably even said that before, too. Too lazy to check, sorry. :)
Good luck! :)
For the humans:
No joke, this game sucks. The story is some sort of teenage boy's fantasy. If you're charitable and old enough you might think Walter Mitty, if not then maybe chuunibyou... The characters are umm, what were their names again? Beep beep boop boop, I mean there was probably some music in there somewhere, but I can't criticise it if I can't remember it... :) Even the backgrounds are phoned in. There is no there there. Just google "anime boobies" or whatever you call this sort of thing, save your money, save your points.
And for a bonus bit of evil this giveaway is Level 0, so even if you enter it for the lulz, you won't win. It will go to someone's card-farming alt, or some clown with the auto-entering script, who hasn't managed 100 comments in five years... :) All you nice people who write something won't get a thing...
For the humans who can read:
Well, yeah, this game is junk, but it will get trading cards eventually, and you can sell those. Profitz! So you could enter this giveaway, or you could enter the other one hiding in the youtube link here. Maybe it's the same terrible game, or maybe it's something different! Who knows? It's not a puzzle because I'm lazy. But since you can read, you should be able to figure it out.
Oh, I was just wondering, fellow reading humans, when was the last time I made a public "Level 0" giveaway? Turns out it was two and a half years ago, Fortix 2. I don't remember why I stopped.
So, hmm, public Level 0 giveaways... I mean, logically they have to be made or nobody would ever get hooked on this "giving away games to complete strangers" stuff. Didn't most of us start out here thinking cool, free stuff! Sounds like a scam, but if it works... :) And only later realise hey, it's real! And feel guilty about winning something without giving back? :)
But checking the forums, nowadays it sounds like a horror show, reroll after reroll, hoping the guy who sold all his wins will finally get banned this time... And you find out he's already been punished for it, so you have to send him the game or you're the bad guy. :)
Which finally leads up to my question: what do you think about public "Level 0" giveaways? Used to but quit? Never stopped? Switched to sgtools-protected forum giveaways? Only give "Level 0" games in groups? Only give "Level 0" bundle leftovers? Just don't care? Yeah, there's a lot of that going around... :)
Bonus good luck for the reading humans! :)
p.s. It won't help, the bonus good luck that is. So enter the other giveaway! :)

My start was pretty similar, wasn't sure about it until I won my first game. First giveaways were L0 (didn't know I could give above my level!) and they've slowly progressed since then, though ultimately I don't have a great reason for why as I can't recall ever being screwed over or anything ;)
Now my L0s are mostly just in select groups, though I've never done an sgtools giveaway. I did just recently learn that some folks are selling keys instead of activating them though, so apparently I need to be more diligent in following up, I dunno.

Yeah, at first I thought this place might be fake, then when I finally won something, and saw what it was, I knew this place was real... :) A fake website would tell me I just won Skyrim or whatever was big back then... :)
Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but I want to say you couldn't make giveaways above your "level" originally. Just don't remember, though. :(
Not in any groups, and haven't tried sgtools giveaways either... Not sure how I feel about it, guess I'd have to think more... The idea of keeping the "bad guys" out sounds good in theory, but I guess in practice your definition of "bad guys" might differ from the sgtools definition... Not sure...
You might not want to check giveaway winners, it can be a bit discouraging... Especially if you give away some game you just love, and the winner says oh boy, I can't wait to play it, blah blah blah... And you see all they did was idle it for trading cards... :(
Good luck! :)

no feelings toward it. i follow the simply rule by making all my public ga on my current level on that time.

Aha, interesting! One thing I feel silly about with high-level giveaways - those people are generous, buying a lot of games for random internet people, without expecting anything in return...
So far, so good! But... they can also afford to buy games for themselves, including the one you're giving away, if they actually wanted it... :)
Good luck! :)

Well, since I won't win. I won't comment. :p
But, since you are a curious fellow... I would never give anything other than bundle left overs to level 0. The worst of the left overs. I give some of the better bundle stuff to levels 2, 4 or 6. The better the game the higher the level. You are an outstanding SGizen for gifting non-bundle games to the public. Even if I won't win :(
Comment has been collapsed.
This one's not a bundle leftover yet, but Indie Gala are sure to have another boobie garbage bundle sooner or later... :)
When I've looked back at some of my older giveaways, at first I'm thinking hmm, what a lot of bundle leftovers, but then I remember they weren't bundled at the time... Should have saved my money and waited a few months... :)
Yeah, like I mentioned, I haven't tried one of these in years... Somehow I was expecting more than four comments, but I guess all the humans are asleep in the common time zones, and it's just the bots running overnight... :)
Aha, since this game is junk, Level 0 is probably the correct choice. Really, it's bad... But good luck! :)

Personally, I'd rather take the Not Received hit than send it to someone I didn't want to. I think there MIGHT be a suspension to go along with it as well, but as long as you don't make it a habit, a small break from SG probably isn't such a bad thing for most of us. It's not something worth getting permabanned over but if its just a short 2-3 day suspension, then whatever.

I was sorely tempted not to send a gift one time for a forum giveaway, but decided it's not time to leave just yet... Oh well... :)
Good luck! :)

I need to start hosting more sgtools protected giveaways, but then I feel like even that doesn't stop pure moochers from running off with undeserved rewards =/ So I dunno. Feeling pretty cynical tonight.
Hope your day was better than mine!

Ahh, sorry to hear that... :( I guess it's possible to make giveaway ratio or "real cv" rules, haven't tried making any sgtools giveaways myself though, so I'm a little unclear on the details...
Hope your day gets better, and if not there's always tomorrow... :) Keep hope alive! :)
Good luck! :)

That's ok, you're not missing much. :) I just write a lot of nonsense, like the people who made this game actually. Which, sadly, is only available in English right now... Oh well...
Good luck... :)

Only level 0 for me, if I wanted to give it to someone I know would use and enjoy it, I'd give it to a friend instead. Couldn't care less who wins or what they do with it, as long as they follow the site's rules.

Aha, that's interesting... Guess I'm just a big jerk, if I gave away great games like Dark Forces or KOTOR I'd feel bad if the winners never even installed them... :( But maybe they are considered bundle junk now, so nobody even imagines playing them? Sigh... :(
Good luck! :)

Not a jerk at all, those are just my thoughts on it given the lighthearted and open nature of giveaways and this site. I bet my feelings would trend towards yours equally as value and importance of contribution increases. If I sent 10% of my income to a charity and found out they spent it all on marketing, I'd be miffed.
Comment has been collapsed.
Ahh, but if people looked at the game rather than the fact it was once in a cheap bundle, they'd be excited to win that stuff... :) Maybe it's not a shiny brand new expensive thing, but Knights of the Old Republic is so good... :) Still imagining the KOTOR 3 that never will be...

Not counting high level public giveaways I made in the beginning over 400 public giveaways. I tried first with level 0 ones, then changed to level 1, after that level 2, after that level 3. The reason that I changed the level was because I was getting very interesting winners ranging from re-gifters, people that had multiple wins, people that didn't activate their win(s) to their own Steam account, people with multiple non activated wins, VAC cheaters, people with ratio's in the vicinity of 200/10 and 100/5, people that didn't bother to say thank you for their win(s), not marking received, private Steam profiles,... I had also many re-rolls then.
So I did try low level giveaways but I had too much with one round of such above winners too many and now I have transitioned most of my public giveaways to SGTools giveaways. The majority of my SGTools giveaways are now level 2 with SGTool reqs: all activated, no multiples, sent/won ratio 0.75; no VAC, Game and trade bans. To date I have made over 2000 SGTools giveaways and I only do high level public giveaways anymore.

Aha, sounds like you've tried a lot of different things... :)
I remember how annoying it was trying to check giveaway winners manually, one game at a time... :( Nowadays if someone with a lot of games wins, I can't even load their games page on Steam - it's check with sgtools or nothing... :(
I think a lot of those multiple wins people are entering giveaways with a browser addon or script or whatever, and it tries to win every crap dlc in sight, even the ones they already won previously. :( The script users are annoying, but somehow it's the incompetent script writer that really bothers me... :) If they are going to be lazy, at least be lazy properly... :)
I can only remember one giveaway winner that didn't activate their game from me, my best guess was since they were in a cheap region, and they won a region-free gift, they were planning to sell it for profitz, and then buy a cheap copy from their region if anyone ever noticed... Bleah...
Not sure how I feel about lousy ratio winners, since you can get a great ratio with otakumaker, indiegala, dailyindiegame, etc. - giving away a pile of cheap garbage nobody will ever install... :) And I know a lot of people can't afford to give the good stuff, it's cheap bundle crap or nothing... On the other hand, I think a lot of people just use that as an excuse, i.e. they can afford to buy hundreds or thousands of games for themselves, just can't buy any for Steamgifts... :)
Interesting, have you seen any Steamgifts users who were trade banned? I wonder how that works, could they even receive a gift if they won it? I just assumed trade bans were scammers, and that they will just make another account and keep scamming. Didn't consider the possibility that it could be a regular user who would keep using an account like that...
Hope you like this horrible boobie junk if you win... :) Good luck! :)

I have had help and many users you probably know from giveaways and discussions answered questions I asked. We also were giving feedback to each other. And before and during the transition to SGTools I've made some test and experiments with different SGTools filters.
These are my "stock or standard" SGTools requirements:
I really like SGTools. I have made 10 larger trains to date and also some smaller experiments and test.
Unfortunately there are certainly people that use all kind of auto enter scripts. I don't know how bad is the problem but I'm certain they do exist.
During my public giveaway days I have had at least two dozen of winners (out of 400+ giveaways) with several non activated games and/or multiple wins.
During my SGTools days I have had one (1) winner (out of 2000+ giveaways) that won a SGTools giveaway by fiddling with the marked received feedback and I got the re-roll from SG support in 2 hours and that user is now permabanned from all SGTools giveaways.
I use a few scripts like enhanced steam, SG game tags script and also a script that places 4 SGTools links on the individual SG user pages and when I click on SGTools one can see where the CV comes from and it's very handy to see things about ratio. Also I was talking about big discrepancies like in the vicinity of 200/10 and 100/1. And the strange thing about those is if you check there Steam profile one can see that they have many (latest) AAA and AA games and/or a Steam inventory worth hundreds of dollars. Also the few games that they do giveaway are in groups where the giveaways have consistently less than double digits giveaway entries.
I've heard of such winners yes and it's quit possible because being trade banned isn't a reason for a re-roll and Steamgifts would indeed be a problem but not Steam keys.
I'm in for the science so thank you for your giveaway! ^^

I think having every win activated and no multiple wins sounds like a bare minimum that we might hope to be enforced by the Steamgifts website directly... :) Someone mentioned the idea that the server could quietly not let troublemakers win any more giveaways until they'd fixed things, which sounded pretty funny to me. :) But maybe I'm just evil... :)
I remember reading in the forum where a person had mutiple wins, but couldn't contact the "developer" to reroll one. Or where someone marked a win received two years ago to be a nice guy, even though they were given the wrong free game by some "close enough!" clown, who has since disappeared... Not sure I'd want to permanently punish people for something that it was no longer possible for them to fix, but I guess it's going to be messy no matter what happens... :( At least the not activating wins people can usually buy the game for themselves if all else fails... :)
Oh, fiddling with marked received feedback, that does remind me of something. Once I was checking through my recent giveaway winners and noticed someone had marked one "not received" - but later when I'd decided to ask them what was going on, I saw they had changed it back. I wonder if they were doing that to gain entry into some exclusive "not received" giveaway group, or mabe pass a "too many wins" sgtools check? Hmm...
Aha, science... :) You are in luck, because while the story was made with one press of the "insert random nonsense" button, at least their boobie drawing person tried a bit...
p.s. There aren't really $10 worth of boobie drawings in here, though... So check the community page screenshots, and wait for a bundle if you don't win... :)

This far into the life of Steamgifts, literally everyone should have given something away to hit just Level 1. If not, gtfo.
More Sakura is always nice.

Well, hmm, I've heard that for some people in places hit by various international sanctions it can be difficult to buy games, but I'm too lazy to research anything... :)
Sadly, this game is the opposite of nice... :) If you're wondering hmm, is this the good one? The one where they finally make a real game? No, it's not. :(
Good luck! :)

I am new here and I'm learning how it work, I'm sad that i did't know about this site year ago i would give more games that i got from my CD-ACTION(polish game magazine) subscription and I"ll never play. :-(
Comment has been collapsed.
Aha, I remember hearing about that magazine before, people have mentioned it in the Steamgifts forums. Sounded like you could get some good stuff, not sure if they are all region-locked nowadays, though...
I always add games to my account, whether I'll play them or not... Sometimes a game sounds terrible, but later you try it and find out it's only mediocre, not terrible. :) Oh well... :)
There's a lot of nice people here, but like any large group there's always a few jerks around... Plus people who just grew up in a different place, and what seems like being a jerk to you might seem perfectly normal to them... :) Although I have to admit most jerks I've met consider themselves perfectly normal... :)
This game isn't very good, but good luck! :)

my first two giveaways were level free.. then I changed to 1$ cv and kept it that way for a while
after that I used to make them the same level I was, now I mostly stay over lvl5
I still make lvl0 from time to time, but never public (whitelist or festivities like Christmas)
but I met (and blacklisted) scum even at lvl10, so.... >_>
ps: plot ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Sometimes I think back to the days of $30.01 giveaways... :) But I guess that's impossible now, you can get over 9000 with enough bundle junk... :)
Yeah, I think you can find not-so-nice people right up to the toppermost of the poppermost, but that's not a Steamgifts thing, that's just how the world is... :)
You can probably find more plot for free on deviantart, I think that's what Winged Cloud do actually... :)
Good luck! :)

Please, don't judge me... :)
I started with level 0 public giveaways, but I don't create them any more, because most of the winners were ending up on my blacklist (and this still happens pretty often for public gibs). Now I usually create public gibs with at least 3-4 level requirement, but I prefer using SGTools protection.
Thanks!
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh, you know what Bob Marley said, Judge not, that ye be not judged. Or something like that... :)
I don't have an actual blacklist, just a text file of rule-breaking people that I don't use for anything. Old habit, I guess... :) Used to write "user reports" for the biggest stinkers but unless a hundred new support people appear there's not much point in doing that any more... :)
Hope whoever wins this won't need a reroll... :) Guess I'll find out this weekend... :)
Good luck! :)

The only thing that kind of bothers me about runnung public lvl0 giveaways is the higher chance of getting a winner who can't or won't communicate/cooperate, for instance when the gift is in a form of a HB link. Hasn't happened to me yet, though.
Comment has been collapsed.
Aha, guess there's a good chance of a language barrier, or maybe people who don't care and just want their free stuff... :)
Free stuff ahoy! Good luck! :)

Yep... and yet I don't feel that bad about it somehow. Mods are so ridiculous sometimes. 12 games not activated? Seriously?
Mods told me if I ever needed more slots for a GA event, we can ask nicely and have them added. So far I haven't run out though.
Personally, I use SG mainly to dump garbage bundled games, and I'm very happy to do it for the level 0 public; however, when I need to re-roll 5 or 6 times, it's annoying, so sometimes I do it for much higher levels (6 isn't bad). When SteamGifts' convenience drops too low, I think I'll just start dumping keys into friendly forums and no longer "recycle" my duplicate bundle-games.
Comment has been collapsed.
If some goofball never read the rules, and "forgot" to activate a bunch of their wins, I can sorta understand that once. :) But if they keep doing it, that's the tricky part...
I think if someone gets suspended once for something, and later they come back and do the same thing again, that's a sign they don't really want to be here... :) And maybe some friendly support person can help with that... :)
This giveaway probably counts as dumping bundle garbage, although it's not been in a bundle yet... Aren't we about due for another horrible Indie Gala boobie bundle? :)
Good luck! :)

I guess I'm too much of a robot to figure out which part of the link gets me to the GA :/

Umm, Ruri should be able to figure this out... :) There's even a computer right there, just type some stuff on it! :)
Right and which part is the skeleton part?
The skeleton... part
Oh well. In the interest of helping lazy robots... :)
What's the URL of this giveaway, the one we're on right now?
http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/5iXhq/sakura-agent
By the way, the sakura-agent part doesn't matter.
http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/5iXhq/ is all you need, the rest gets ignored. http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/5iXhq/half-life-3 works, too.
So if I wanted people to think a tiny bit to find this giveaway, I would find some place to hide 5iXhq, you know? :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IU513suJZzY&t=0&the_skeleton_part=5iXhq
Get it? Good luck... :)

Yeah, that's what I tried but it didn't work.
Turns out I needed to put a backslash after the code, too. Works like a charm now, thanks.

I gave up with level 0 public giveaways. Level 1 is super easy to reach even with just cards from free games, so I won't even act that level 0 exists for more than non-caring people with scripts and farming alt. Sometimes I use level 0 or level 1 in private giveaways after puzzles, but for public I don't even know if I did anything below level 2. At that level at least people know that they'll get a game and will activate (or just bag it to sell it) so a little better than illiterate level 0 alts.
Comment has been collapsed.
I wonder if it's still possible to get $100 of value on alts accounts solely using bundled/free stuff. Presumably there's enough lag between some new garbage being bundled and it being added to the bundle list... And that's not even counting the "free weekend" exploit I've seen some people use... Capitalism, ho!
It would be wonderful if 1000 evil people win this giveaway, and every re-roll gets one banned permanently... :) Well, wonderful except for the poor support person answering 1000 re-roll requests... :)
Good luck! :)

Oh, one interesting thing - it seems the "thanks for whatever this is!" type of script doesn't get used much any more - I think there must have been a default changed not to write any comment, and just enter quietly. It was always amusing when you'd have several public giveaways running simultaneously, and watch the script clowns puke their identical comment in each one, all in the same few seconds... :) No, I typed those all by myself, I have a bunch of tabs open, blah blah etc. :)
It's simple, it's boobies, but it's really bad... So good luck! :)

Oh my, another Sakura game :)
It has achievements, though - that makes it appealing. ^^ Visual novels don't often require a lot of skills to 100%.
As for level 0 giveaways, I don't make them, I don't want to deal with trouble. I should name change to LazySanta, because, as you say, they're probably important to give newcomers a taste of steamgifts.

Meet the new junk, same as the old junk...
Which I'm sure I've said before... :) Anyway, you don't want this, don't get fooled again! :) Oh, hmm, guess I did get fooled again, since I'm giving one away again... :( But it's really bad... Even more bad than usual, actually... :)
Probably achievements like clicked start, checked the options menu, and so on... :) I don't know if there are any routes, or if you can see everything the first time through. Doubt I'm going to play it again to check... :)
Hmm, without Level 0 giveaways this place dies, right? I mean, if nobody ever made them, people would join Steamgifts and see all the stuff they can't win, unless they make a giveaway themselves first. And then they'd never return... :) This place wouldn't just sound like a scam, it would actually be a scam... :)
Good luck! :)

I guess I don't feel guilty about getting games people don't want anymore. If they didn't want to give them away then they wouldn't. I just don't really have the budget to do it, honestly. Though sometimes I do come across extra stuff from a package here or there and I'll give it away at level 0... partly because in the start i HAD to, and partly because I feel like if you have the funds to attain a high contributor level, you probably can just buy the games you want anyways and it's not helping that could use it the most, even if that DOES open it up to bots. I just have to trust that people are going to be better than that and hope the system works. I stopped wasting my time saying thank you to every single one because everyone just thinks that makes me a bot anyways or doesn't care or is just mad about it cluttering their inbox. Waste of everyone's time it seems. So I only really comment if it is asked for in the description these days.
As for the game... I actually want it. Sure, it's mostly because I wanna fap to hot anime girls, but there's something kind of nice about them at least having some sort of context and character to make them memorable. I've quite enjoyed the few Sakura games I've played so far. Plus, I do actual reviews on Steam as well as other places so having stuff I'll actually get through is nice. Basically, lonely pervs like myself are the key audience for this. It's not a matter of IF I get it, it's a matter of WHEN, be it here or somewhere else later on.
That's probably a lot to read so if you skipped it or don't care then just pretend I said thanks I guess.
Comment has been collapsed.
Aha, congratulations, that is a lot of wins... :) What's your favourite one?
I think there's a good point in there about high level giveaways... I know I feel silly buying a game for people who could afford to buy it themselves, and who would have bought it themselves, if they actually wanted it... :)
On the other hand, if it's ok for you to win games people "don't want anymore" then it's probably ok for those high level people to do the same... :)
About comments, I wouldn't call saying thank you a waste of anyone's time... :) Maybe if you're entering a lot of random giveaways just to spend all your points, it can be difficult to find anything unique to say about each individual one. Do you check the store page first, to see what the heck the game is?
I know when I started visiting this place, I didn't care about writing comments, just wanted free stuff, any free stuff, didn't care what it was or who was giving it away or if they had asked a question in the description, etc. But eventually I thought it might be good to try for stuff I actually wanted, instead of getting +1 from any random piece of bundle junk in sight... :)
Finally I decided, like you mentioned at the start, if I actually wanted the game in some giveaway I would have bought it myself, so now I let other people win them, and just give my bundle leftovers away... :)
One tricky thing about comments, it can be discouraging to see hundreds or thousands of entries for a game, and only a dozen people taking the time to read your description and reply... But if everyone who entered the giveaway actually wrote a real comment, my whole week would be nothing but replying on Steamgifts... :( Oh well...
If you like the Sakura games, sadly this isn't one of their best... Just one more generic boobie visual novel off the Winged Cloud conveyor belt. Nobody making this game felt hey, let's make a good one this time!
I'd say Sakura Dungeon felt the most like a real game to me, mainly because it's an ok Dungeon Crawler with boobies slapped on top. :) But if you're just looking for boobies on Steam, and you've already played the free stuff, get HuniePop - it's a pretty good "match 3" game overflowing with boobies... :)
Don't worry, I don't skip words... :) Wouldn't write all this junk if I were afraid to read them too... :)
Good luck! :)

Wow. I didn't even realize I had won that many. I got a lot from a nice group I'm in that doesn't have tons of members so odds are pretty good there. And because of the huge backlog we all have on Steam eventually, I have not played all of them yet. Though I AM going to start doing some let's play videos again to at least try and get through more. I think I might have to go with Ballpoint Universe Infinite so far. Had a surprising amount of fun with that. Duke Nukem Forever is pretty good too, but I played on PS3 before so winning it here... not sure if it'll run. We'll see how well that translates. I'd also really like to get back to Megabyte Punch because so far it felt kind of like Mega Man meets Super Smash Bros. I guess I thought I got some others from here but they must've been off of the group directly or gifted or something. Or maybe they were offered free and this taken off the list? I'm pretty sure I got Murder Miners through this though, and I played so many hours of that. I had way too much fun making levels with it and I'm super glad I got it. So if that's the case then that's number one so far for sure.
Oh no, that's fine too. It's all games you don't want. I'm not trying to say those people wouldn't still like them or could use them. I just think they aren't exactly the ones that would appreciate them the most, unless they got to a high level and then had money issues later or did it mostly from cheap bundles maybe. Maybe they just want to win a nice, new, expensive game and that's the only way they can. There are certainly circumstances. I just think more of the low level or, perhaps, no level users are the ones coming here to get games they couldn't get otherwise... even though you DO need so much value on your account in the first place, but even then you can win games in other places without the requirements so I understand it's all highly circumstantial. It's just how I lean on the matter.
Sometimes I'm checking or most likely have already looked them up beforehand. I join for ones on my wishlist when they are up and also I tend to join a lot of the same ones since I know what they are and want them. Then again, I often will impulse enter based on names too, just to see what random stuff I get without previous judgement. I'll usually also enter giveaways with bigger numbers of keys for better odds just because. So it's a large variety depending on the day, but I always use up pretty much all my points every time they get full, yes.
When I first started I said thank you and tried to comment on all of the ones I entered. I've never really just blindly entered everything on the first pages just to get entries. I always base it on at least SOME kind of narrowing factor if not multiple. But that many entries and what is there to say? I started getting a lot of descriptions telling people not to say thank you, even going as far as to ban those that do just assuming they are bots. I type it out every time. Not copy pasting even. But after so many people got upset with it or didn't even put anything in the descriptions anymore, I just quit. However, I DO read the info and will typically answer it if I actually have something to add. So it's not like I've just turned into a zombie or anything. Though I DO still say thank you on all the group and whitelist giveaways and often on wishlist ones when I really want those games, haha. They rarely pop up here.
I'm not a hard sell on fapbait, so I'm sure I'll enjoy it regardless. I liked Sakura Spirit, Sakura Angels, and Sakura Santa so far so I'm sure I'l be fine. I just... I'm hooked on the series now so I feel like I need to get them all. I do want Sakura Dungeon as it's the only thing other than Sakura Clicker that looked like a real game... not that Sakura Clicker is overflowing with gameplay but still. I'll get them all eventually but luck or price drops might need to help me there. I do have HuniePop but haven't started it yet. I also have more Sakura games to get through and the Nekopara trilogy. Also, if you're into good games that just so happen to feature babes... the Shantae games are pretty good. If you like Metroidvania games then they're pretty nice. I have two of them on here and I AM looking forward to eventually getting the newest one for sure. Though I may get it on Wii U instead to make sure it actually runs. Not the best laptop.
Haha, well plenty of people do put lots of stuff up and don't really reply and I didn't want to assume anything I said was important or even all that intelligent anyways. Also, I couldn't find the hidden link on the video so I guess I'm pretty dumb. Also, I'm fairly windy... which is why I bet everyone skips my reviews on Steam. If you have more than a bullet list or a single phrase followed by 10/10 then you get passed over easily. Anyways, I hope your experience here isn't too terribly hindered by the natural burdens of poor behavior and system exploitation on the internet.

Hmm, of those games I've only played Duke Nukem Forever, which I didn't play enough to know for sure... I thought Duke Nukem 3D was great though, once upon a time... :)
I started out making sure to spend all my points, too. :) It felt like I had to enter giveaways or I'd be wasting all the points that overflowed, so to speak. Just think of all the free stuff I'm missing out on! :)
I think many people got annoyed by those automatic giveaway entering bots, the ones that printed some inane generic thanks message in each giveaway. It got so bad that someone even made a script to hide the most common generic comments, so you would only see when a person wrote something original. :) But lately I don't recall seeing as many of those generic thanks messages, not sure why...
Haven't tried the Shantae games, but currently I don't play much... Seems I have to be in the right mood to play something, and after a few days I forget about it and go back to not reading books instead... :)
If you already own HuniePop give it a try, it's not a straight visual novel as there's actual gameplay involved, but still it's better than all these generic Sakura games... :) And if you like HuniePop I suggest you skip HunieCam Studio, it's not the same thing at all... :( But some (silly) people enjoyed it, so who knows? :)
Ahh, I explained the hidden thing here in reply to someone else, so take a look if you're still curious... :)
I don't think too many people read Steam reviews, unless it's one of those "funny" blah blah meme/10 ones. Although I think minimum-effort reviews for a minimum-effort game like this would be appropriate somehow... :)

General opinion on DNF is that it's terrible, but I thought it was about average for a first person shooter when it came out, along with a lot of Duke charm. There's multiple ways to keep playing Duke Nukem 3D even now and it holds up pretty well. I love Megaton Edition even though it's no longer sold on Steam, but I hear the new anniversary one is pretty good too. Though personally I played the Nintendo 64 version the most.
I think maybe most of the people botting thanks comments found out it was getting them blacklisted and just stared doing no comment to avoid detection. I still enter with all my points once they hit the cap and I check. So a few times a day maybe.
Oh man, I spend a ton of time playing games. I love it. And even more since I started doing reviews of them. It's certainly a step above a hobby at this point. Now if only I could make something out of it. Oh well.
Well I'm trying not to play too many fap games at once. Don't want to get what little stories and characters there are mixed up with one another. Also, if I have to concentrate or it takes more than one hand to play... it'd better be a damn good game. Though I believe I have the edition with the art gallery so... I guess I can always go to that if need be. But the Shantae games are actual games straight up... that just so happen to have a hot girl as the protagonist. Haha. I'm a shameless perv, I know it :P And I DID see gameplay of HunieCam but the only tycoon type games I ever really enjoyed were the first two RollerCoaster Tycoon games. Spent countless hours on those.
I took a look and it is confirmed... I'm too stupid because I don't understand what you're getting at. But I guess if it's not another giveaway for this game then it can't be TOO big of a loss, eh? ;) Whoever is smarter than me deserves finding it I suppose.
I do full reviews all the same. I figure that there has to be SOMEONE out there looking for a legitimate review from someone who actually got the game and played it. Plus, it WAS pretty encouraging that I got lucky with my first Steam review and somehow got tons of ratings on it even though it was long after the game had been out. So I just kept it up. Even the game "Its your last chance in new school" (and yes, both the typo and lack of capitalization are actually how it is presented) which was so short and poorly done... I just reviewed it today and it's a full review. I could've easily made a "clever" one-liner about it, but I'm a fool that still believes someone out there is looking for quality reviews on Steam. And if not... it's also going up in some other places too so... it's not like it'll be wasted. That's what got me into the written review habit in the first place. And as you can see, I can easily fill up a page with far too many words :P

Will write more in a bit, just read your "Its your last chance in new school" review and wanted to mention it's currently available for $0.20 at the "dailyindiegame point store" - in case you know any silly people who actually want to buy it. :) Sounds like a terrible game, though... :)

Ahh, yes "average first person shooter" is just how playing Duke Nukem forever felt. :) Guess I wasn't in the right mood for one of those, but fortunately I hadn't waited 15 years for it either... :) It was a lot of fun back then, but I guess its time has passed, seems the character is just parodying of himself now... :)
I didn't bother getting "Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour" since I've enough classic Duke Nukem on Steam and GOG already... :) One Steam review says "It's still Duke Nukem 3D and if you're the owner of Megaton Edition, don't waste your money" so I'm not feeling bad about it... :)
Hmm, playing games is fun... :) On a typical day I spend more time playing "Steam" than playing games, though... :( Buying whatever cheap new bundle is out, idling my new bundle garbage to get trading cards, then stuff like http://www.steamtradematcher.com/compare or https://asf.justarchi.net/STM or http://www.steamcardexchange.net/index.php?inventory to get all the duplicates traded, etc. In the big sales I end up making a lot of useless badges which cleans up the inventory a fair bit, but then I'm stuck with a pile of backgrounds and emoticons instead. :) I suppose the clever people just sell everything, and buy stuff from their wishlist with the proceeds... But the really clever people only buy games they want to play...
I hope it's not a huge spoiler, but in one Sakura Agent scene there's a cameo appearance by some characters from a previous game. I couldn't remember who they were, or even which game they were from. They looked vaguely familiar, but "boobies" isn't exactly a memorable character trait...
If you've never tried solving puzzles in the Steamgifts forum before, this guide might be fun reading for you. But I don't know how many people still make puzzles around here; I know I haven't for years. Which is a way of saying whatever's hiding in that description isn't exactly a puzzle, sorry... :) Oh well. At least it won't go to some evil bot... :)
After reading more of your reviews I noticed several were for giveaway wins, which I think is a great idea. And I think the whole Steam review mess would quickly be cleaned up if more people wrote real reviews instead of trying so hard to be funny... :)

I guess I never really buy anything in other stores. I always just get Steam gift cards for Steam and then sell cards for extra, haha. If they want to seek it out that's definitely their business ;)
I honestly don't feel like the character has aged a day. I thought he was a fun mashup of 80's and 90's action movie heroes. He still is. People just don't like that anymore I suppose. Also, the long wait with high expectations made the average nature of all the compromises between modern and retro first person shooters even harder to take. It wasn't good old Duke gameplay, but rather an unhappy medium that left fans of both retro and modern FPS games unsatisfied. They should've picked one way and stuck with it. Also, it was so long that most kids wouldn't even care because they have no idea who the character even is anymore. It's not some character that has an arc or development, he's just a badass that shoots stuff. But without Call of Duty or Halo in the title kids have no interest in average first person shooters. So everyone took a dump on it... which at least let me get the PS3 one fairly cheap really fast, haha. I guess if you don't like Duke, you won't have much to write home about, but it honestly isn't bad.
Yeah, it has come out on nearly everything by now. The only appeal would be better visuals and that all new episode by the original level designers, which does sound cool but 20 bucks for that slight upgrade? Hard to justify if you already had Megaton. Too bad the new folks that bought 3D Realms messed that up so bad and lost all the rights in the process.
I just sell everything right away so I get an actual profit rather than waiting around hoping someone buys my slightly marked up item. I don't bother with badges or anything because I don't really need them. I haven't bought much on Steam lately, though. Now that I have a Wii U on top of a 3DS, GBA, and N64 I don't really want to add more to the backlog unless it's free, haha. So I still enter for stuff and save up trading card sales and hopefully I'll get some good stuff down the road. Though I do sometimes break down and buy stuff if it looks good and is really cheap. But yeah, I'm much more of a console/handheld gamer myself. Some of this is just only really available on PC so I come here for that.
I MIGHT remember if it's from one of the ones I played. I can remember some of these hotties, haha. I thought Maeko in Sakura Spirit was sweet, and Hikari in Sakura Angels kinda got to me. Maybe I'm just lonelier than most :P
I suppose if I'm simple enough to romanticize boobs with a bit of character on them then I'm probably too simple to figure this kind of thing out. Haha.
Yeah, I should go back and mark those old reviews where the keys were free as that's a thing now. That and add YouTube links to the video reviews. Sometimes those reviews really help. Especially when you explain what you actually DO in the game, rather than just pushing a one-sided opinion. I see that a lot without much for details to back it up and that's almost as bad... though at least they put thought and effort into it. I'm surprised you ready those, though. I'm so... wordy. I thought it'd get boring to read, ha.

"All you nice people who write something won't get a thing..."
No no, we get saved from this! We cannot help but enter because of our curiosity for bad things. But here you are: Our saviour! Not the one we deserve, but the one we needed! :p
Many thanks from a fellow human.

Many condolences if you manage to win! :)
I'm trying to think of a worse Sakura game, and either they are so forgettable I'm overlooking some, or this one's the bottom of the boobie barrel... :(
Really, in all those other boobie game giveaways where I said hey, you don't want this, the game is junk, well this time it's really junk. :)
You know, like Dharker junk... They didn't just phone it in, they phoned someone else and asked them to phone it in. :)
Good luck! :)

Entering because I actually like the Sakura games and want to play them. I find the Steam market place stupid and people buying games just for cards for money to defeat the purpose of what video games are actually about.
As for the Level 0 stuff, I honestly don't care who wins a game. If I did care I'd give it to a friend. I just want the CV, who wins is of no concern to me. I may change the level of the give away depending on the price of the game itself but other than that it's not my problem who wins.

Nothing I'd say against liking Sakura games, especially since nobody's forced me to buy all of them, but they can do better than this game... This is what "I just don't care" looks like. They are really putting the "T & A" in "C B A" ... Hmm, I guess that doesn't make any sense, maybe the T is silent? Yeah, whatever, close enough. Not like anyone's going to read this when there's boobies on the screen...
See what I mean? I should be writing for Winged Cloud! Oh well... :)
Hmm, if you really just want the CV shouldn't you be giving away multiple copies of that Clickteam / Spriter Pro / whatever it is junk? :) I'm pretty sure people made piles of precious levels off that stuff... :) And not one single copy was ever installed... I mainly bought that bundle just to hide all the giveaways... :)
Do you ever give away some game you love, just to spread the word? Hint: prepare for disappointment, nobody plays games around here, just +1 and trading cards... :)
Good luck! :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh I never have high expectations for the Sakura games so I avoid disappointment. They're cute and sexy and that's about it, which is why if I buy them it's at the lowest sale price possible.
I'd make more giveaways if I could afford it. I did the Clickteam one and I guess it helped...I didn't pay attention. But I also don't like spamming the same things over and over again. I was personally annoyed with how many people made giveaways for those games and I didn't want to add too much the issue.
During the big sales I will make giveaways for games that I actually think people should play, or would enjoy. There are games I like that I'd do the same with but they're so over bundled it's painful.
Comment has been collapsed.
Aha, sounds like you already know the score then... :) Blah blah boobies blah. Blah boobies boobies blah, etc. :)
I don't know for sure, but I doubt making giveaways just for the CV gives you any profitz, I mean you're buying a bunch of cheap games to give away, in the hope that many future giveaways for games you actually want will be at a high enough level that you can just barely enter, and you get lucky and win some of them? Probably cheaper to buy those games you want directly, but I don't have a clue...
Checking the giveaways page I see two "Level 10" giveaways, which I can't enter since I'm only "Level 9". Oh no! :( What to do?
Well, I could set a goal of giving away $1000 worth of non-bundle crap to reach "Level 10" - or I could just pay $6 to Steam and buy those two games. See what I mean? :)

Sakura games are low tier visual novels, honestly I've seen outright eroge games with more substance than these titles. But they amuse me like watching a bad TV show.
It's a fun game to play on the site. Give stuff away, hope to level up and win stuff. It's something to do with extra stuff from bundles but I don't buy bundles for the soul purpose of giving away here. During Steam sales I'll buy a few things for that purpose but usually I give away things I already own, hopefully someone else wants it but I can't worry if they don't. I just hate when people enter a give away just to try and regift it, that's the main that annoys me about this site.
One day I hope to be able to do at least one nice giveaway for a game people actually really want but that requires a disposable income. Though if I did have to pick a favorite game to give away for the pure sake of giving it away it would be Hatoful Boyfriend. I love to give it as a gift to friends and I gave it away here last year for Valentine's day. lol

I've bought some cheap stuff during sales for giveaways, but since I never remember to make the giveaways they keep collecting virtual dust in my inventory... :(
Giving away something people really want sounds like a fun idea, hopefully you can find a good way to figure out who really really wants it, and who's just saying they want it for the +1... :)
I've seen a giveaway that only people who had the game in their wishlist before a certain date could enter, which sounds pretty good... except some people add everything to their wishlist. :)
Comment has been collapsed.
No offense, but I find amazing that you talk so much about how people doesn't play their games anymore with 8,5K+ games on your library, more than a half of them never played. Anyway, thanks for the giveaway.
Comment has been collapsed.
Umm, I don't talk about how other people don't play their games any more, I'm people too... :) And forget about half, I doubt very much I've played even 5% of them... As you know, most games in a person's library with only 1-2 hours of playtime, and no achievements grabbed, were never even installed, they were idled for the precious trading cards with idle master or asf or whatever.
I used to think I'd play all this stuff when I retire, but... Even if a bag of money fell on my head and I retired today, and I swore never to buy another game, I couldn't play them all before I was dead. There's just not enough time in the day...
Now, one thing that makes me a bit disappointed is when a person wins a game, and never touches it. I wouldn't expect someone to drop everything and install that new piece of leftover bundle garbage they just won, but if someone wins a "real" game, maybe something from their wishlist, and it just sits there unplayed forever, that's rough...
No offense, but good luck! :)

Maybe the problem is mine, but it seemed like an "old man yells at cloud" speech. I didn't thought you were talking about yourself too. Sorry then. And thanks again.

Oh, no problem... :) I do try to remember the beam in my own eye... :)
Good luck again... :)

Entered... then read your desc for it... removed my entry.
I'll just buy it when it goes on sale, if I can afford to.
Comment has been collapsed.
Umm, why would you pay money for this when you could try to win a copy instead? :) I mean, it's a bad game, but since I already bought it, why not try your luck? :)
Really, don't wait for a sale, unless this gets a 90% discount you're going to be paying too much. :) I'd say wait for a bundle, but really wait for these developers to make a better game, it's not worth your money... :)

You played this for the plot? :o
I only do level 0 giveaways when I'm doing a level 0-10 thing or when I need to advertise something. I too so many disappointing winners as it is. Haha
Comment has been collapsed.
Sorry, I can't help it. If a game has words, I will try to read them... :) Even when it's nonsense like this... :)
Aha, I never need to advertise anything so it's just random numbers deciding what level to use...
One thing I hadn't expected in here was the lack of generic thanks messages. Did all the automatic giveaway entering things change? Used to be you'd get dozens of bots thanking it up, but now I guess they all enter silently? No great loss... :) Didn't even see anyone hoping to win this WTHOG... :)
Good luck! :)

not sure if I'm the right person to answer with my currently leech ratio, but no public giveaways lvl 0 for any "better" game, I didn't send too much, but when I had problems with getting "received" status or connecting with the winner, it was always lvl 0...
after reading your description I don't know maybe I will remove my entry like I did last time, but maybe if I win it, it's some kind of "destiny", the reason to play when chances are so low.
I don't write it for my favour as I'm not into such groups, but it's still the best option. Why don't you make your own group, you invite some people who answer your question regularly, maybe some friends and then giveaway?
Comment has been collapsed.
I think if you check some of the other people visiting in here, you wouldn't call yourself a leech... :)
I'm hoping for no problems from the winner, but if that doesn't work then I'm hoping for a lot of problems, so they can get banned. :) And then the reroll finds some other evil person, who also gets banned, and so on... :) Guess I'll find out in a few days... :)
Not sure what in my description would lead people not to try for this, it's junk but look at all the bundle leftovers people try to win - aren't those junk too? :) At least this one has boobies, and some day trading cards... :)
About groups, hmm... I'm not in any Steamgifts groups, used to be in some but kinda lost interest, gradually drifted away... :) Maybe it's not my thing, there are a lot of nice people around but I don't talk much on Steam so if I made a group I'd probably just forget about it after a few weeks. :)
Good luck! :)
