I won this game earlier, but I decided to buy the bundle today.

You have to remember the current generation thinks they are entitled to what you have that they want, and for free, so even though you paid for the game, they deserve it and should not be bothered with appreciation or courtesy. Manners are not taught anymore to the detriment of society.

It's funny how some people consider things like "thank you" or even "hello" or "bye" useless today, sometimes I ask myself if I'm just becoming a old grunpy guy, but those "small" things that are shows of cortesy or lack of, really tend to piss me off sometimes when found lacking.

What? I never said gratitude is useless, I just thought that you generally don't give things away so that people grovel at your feet and tell you what a good guy you are. Usually, you give things away out of the goodness of your heart (or because you had an extra key or whatever). I will still say thank you after winning, but maybe don't treat people like you're their mother, yeah?

My comments are not direct at you or anyone here directly. My comments are about how we as a society - as parents - have failed to teach the next generation, respect for life, for others, for what we have, etc. We have become so absorbed in ourselves (and cellphones) that we barely notice or acknowledge other people. Everything is worth "less" today because everything is disposable, including life.

Uhhhhhh.... wtf? You do know what a teenager is, right? I don't know what kinda weird-ass rose-tinted glasses you're wearing, but teenagers are disrespectful in every generation. CELLPHONES HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS CONVERSATION. My parents, my friends' parents, my classmate's parents, and most people's parents have taught manners to their kids, but puberty kinda messes with that.. (Btw, what do you mean by "everything is disposable, including life"? Do you think that all people do nowadays is sit around feeling sorry for themselves while crying and playing on their "GamesBoys" or something? Just because we don't run around in circles for fun anymore doesn't mean we aren't enjoying life in different ways).

To be fair I believe it's a commoin courtesy to say thanks even just for the person going out of their way to give something for free to other people, even if with people doing that by scripts and stuff I'm not sure how mutch count. And other people actually finding someway annoying the "thank you spam".
Wish I could everything have something more creative or unique to say than "thank you", tried doing that for a time writing something diferent based on the creator message or the game being given or anything else, after a bit found my creativity not being that strong haha ^^'

I got a funny story relating to yours. I had the opposite happen. I got the humble monthly. Gave away a game based on the cover art assuming it was something else entirely. Later looked into the game and wanted it. Then I got lucky and won a copy. I was so happy. XD edit Also rating and subscribing. I'd love some touhou backgrounds next time I load up Garry's mod. Nicely put together.
