I recommend it. I already own it, here's a tiny review.
There are three characters who have their different play style.
Wizard
Can materialize drawn objects (such as crates and plates), swim (wut), and manipulate objects around him.
Is weak in combat, since the only way he can kill Skeletons is by dropping things on top of them or hitting them with dangerous things.
Assassin
Can jump high, has a grappling hook that can stick to wood and make herself swing, has a bow and arrow that can be upgraded. She's also able to swim. By far she's my favourite character. :D
Knight
Very heavy and clumsy but tough and skilled, has a sword that can demolish enemies easily and a shield that can block arrows, deflect fireballs and deflect fire breathing skeletons' streams of fire. Can't really swim, but he can go underwater and jump around.
The three heroes are united by some sort of seal, then they need to battle "together" to complete their ultimate quest of destiny thing.
The art style is brilliant. It's not cartoony at the same time it isn't photorealistic. The characters have their personality revealed just by looking at them. The wizard looks smart, kind of weak, but very wise. The assassin looks nimble, agile but looks like she can't do good on head to head battle. The knight looks fat, clumsy but really looks like he could demolish enemies in head to head battle.
The game is entirely physics-based. That means there are probably few hitboxes, everything is calculated via physical attributes (speed of such object, weight of that object etc)
There are many creative ways to kill your enemies, such as dropping a crate on a skeleton as the Wizard, kicking a skeleton in the face as an Assassin with the hook, and stomping an enemy (goomba style, baby, yeahhhh) as the Knight.
Whoever wins WILL enjoy it. I am sure. You can play this with a controller if mouse+keyboard feels uncomfortable. The game has local co-op (multiple mice and keyboards OR keyboard + controllers or 3 controllers, you name it...) but unfortunately no online co-op.
This is not a game to pass time, this is a game to admire its beautiful backgrounds and level design, and an amazing story to drive through.
Overall score 9.5/10
(No online co-op = SAD)
