Oh, cool. It's an interesting game if only for the premise of the eventual shutdown. I'm not sure if a guaranteed permadeath of the game is really the way to go about it, but it's cool to see developers actually paying attention to the 'death spiral' suffered by multiplayer-centric games server populations.

I wonder if this will actually make people more interested in playing consistently rather than taking extended breaks and letting the servers empty out. Good or bad, at least The Flock will be a game that'll be remembered for trying something new, and we need more of that in the gaming industry, right?

I'm torn as to whether this is just some cheap marketing ploy to lure in those gamers who feel a compulsive need to get in on this game before it inevitably is removed. The game itself seems interesting enough though, here's hoping for a fun asymmetrical multiplayer experience. Thanks!
