Winner will be added on Steam (if you don't mind) and key will be mailed as usual :)
To make the giveaway a bit more lively, please do tell me what was the first RPG you've played?
Mine was Miracle Warriors on the Sega Master System, at a time where I didn't knew what an RPG was and my English knowledge was very limited: for instance, I thought that the "fangs" dropped by monsters were actually patches of dirt (since "mud", in Italian, is written "fango"), so I wondered why were they carrying those filthy items and, above all, why on earth the most powerful items in the game required "muds" to be bought instead of money?
But it was an immensely enjoyable (albeit very, very hard) experience, the one that marked very well what would have been my favourite videogame genre, so I'm curious to know what was your first too.
Oh, and good luck to all, obviously! ;)

The first RPG I played was Pokemon Colosseum for the GameCube. I wanted to know why it's so popular. Liked it so much, that I searched for more RPGs.

Nice! Never tried that since, when I got my 'Cube, I was rather fed up with Pokemon after playing the originals on Gameboy till exhaustion! But they're great RPGs nonetheless :)

Legend of Dragoon.

I guess that's perfect for a first time, since that game was a patchwork of every other JRPG ever created up to its release... still, graphics and battle system were amazing :)

Might have been an odd named one on the PC. Windows 95/DOS style in some kind of German city with lots of text and powerful enemies outside of the city. :P

Could have been Ravenloft: Strahd's Possession or Ravenloft: Stone Prophet, maybe? :)

My first RPG... I think it was Final Fantasy 7. I didn't get to game much when I was a kid and for a long time it was the only game I played. Must've finished it a dozen times or something. :)
Nowadays I'm more into western RPGs than JRPGs.

Same for me, the last JRPG I've played is Lost Odyssey: silly story and very old school, but I've enjoyed it a lot.
Guess the old turn based scheme just isn't clicking anymore for me, though I like some "hybrid" experiments like Resonance of Fate and Xenoblade, whose battle system is more akin to the western RPG approach :)

(Thanks for the giveaway! o/)
My first RPG? I guess it was Tibia, huh. My first MMO and RPG... I still remember the account number and password of my first Account. Good times running away prom PK's xD

I'm not really into MMOs, last ones I've tried are Ultima Online and Dark Age of Camelot... both left to collect dust on my hard drive after only a couple of months. Guess I'm just not that "social" online, despite my love for pen & paper RPGs :)

Heh, I started D&D when I was 7. I really couldn't tell you if I played an RPG before that.

Thank ye, my first RPG was Fallout 2, at the time didn't know RPG's on my other consoles(SNES, PS2, NES) as I mainly stuck with platformers at that time. Than Fallout 2 came into my hands and I was stuck on the PC for days upon days looking for new guns and items to wreck havoc on the world. The game had so much to do, it kept me busy during my school time. After actually finishing the game, I started to look for more RPG's on my consoles/PC and has ever since grown a long list of games. ^^

Good call! I actually managed to play Fallout 1 and 2 during my compulsory military service, between one orderly and another... being assigned to the IT section of my base was a huge advantage! ;)

Snowblind Studios are among the finest ARPG developers! Dark Alliance was awesome too (the sequel, not so much), and I and my girlfriend have played the hell out of War in the North!

I have no idea since it's been so long and memory is bad, but it could be Zelda on NES. Or maybe an Atari game possibly (either the computer or game system).
Thanks for the Geneforge.

My first RPG was Pools of Radiance on the Commodore 64... yes I'm old.

The same goes for me, bro, but I approached computer RPGs after my console experience: before that, they seemed just overly complicated non-games full of numbers and statistics to me... didn't get that was a huge part of their charm! :)

thx a bunch! My first RPG/MMORPG was Ultima online, which started in 1997 and is still played. I used to play in this free shard called Santiago, but EA fucked everything up and now the game isn't what it used to be. I recently started playing again on the ABCUO shard
