I found that that I have already given away this on steamgifts.com a few months ago and forgot to remove the games from my list of spare keys, I only had the one key.

Also now I'm confused that you said "already used this key" so they key provided was valid.. if you activated the game on another account and are asking for another to use on your main that's on you. You can try again but I can't give another.

Yeah, you could. You could choose to have come common courtesy for someone attempting to give away something for free but so be it.
