We're in the season of teases here in NYC - the occasional warm days get us all excited, but mostly the nights knock back down into the 30s and 40s, so it's not like it's really getting warmer. If you know the "12 Seasons of New York" meme, we're in the disputed territory between Spring Of Deception and Third Winter, about to enter The Pollening. Soon we'll have our brief burst of actual spring, after which we will start to complain about the heat. Complaining about the weather is a New Yorker's birthright.
So clearly what the world needs is more games. This is an old key, newly revealed, and should work like new. If you have trouble with it, please let me know.

Personally I don't mind milder weather, because going outside in the new normal of crazy hot summers is not something I enjoy at all

Geography is working against you. While NYC is at the same latitude as Naples, Madrid and Istanbul due to main NA mountain ranges running north to south cold arctic air can reach you unimpeded.

Oh, I know! I lived for a while near Florence, and then later in Rome, and could not help but note how different the general weather patterns were from Boston and New York...
